I disagree.

I believe the CKA community knows RUEZ well and most have formulated an opinion as to his prejudices and integrity through the way he presents himself and how he deals with others. The vote itself is both secret and currently no one knows where it stands and as such, have not been able to influence the outcome. It is a simple question, yes or no? He does not know which way you are voting so you can't offend him.

As for judges in the bigger picture, the current method for selecting judges is an actual popularity contest to a very very very small constituency.

Half a day left till the polls close.

USCAdad @ Fri Feb 23, 2007 8:21 pm

He gets my vote.

He has his oppinions, but I believe he is more even handed and impartial than most here. If he proved not to be such, he can always be removed.

To me it would be a job. I'd be greatful for anyone that was qualified and willing to take the responsibility and BS.

The "No's" have it the issue is dead.

However, it is pretty clear that those opposed to RUEZ were few in number and that the poll was sadly fixed by this small constituency utlising the loophole that was pointed out by ridenrain several weeks ago.

I have always said CKA is a microcosm for Canada and that those on the left would engage in such dishonourable behaviour is certainly in keeping with typical liberalism of the ‘ends justify the means’.

However, if CKA has fixed the problem then I apologise for my “poor loser” attitude and cheer the triumph of democracy.

Take a bow Reuz, it was an honour just to be nominated merci sa va.

I'd be interested in hearing from some of the no's. I'm just curious as to why. The comments left were very positive. I can imagine who some of the no's were and I don't blame them. I can be abrasive.

No, several pathetic dishonourable self rightous liberals have decided to make the choice for everyone.

Nice spin, GRPB. Too bad for you that there were some libs that supported him and some cons who didn't.

But that's the cool thing with polls.... if you don't get the results you want, you can always make up some reason to whine about it.
Well Lily, it's no secret that the polls are/were broken. It's not like he's making that up it's quite public. I think you like to argue anything as long as it's against a conservative.

You're kidding me lily.

One answer please - Do you think the poll results were manipulated?

Yes or no only.

grainfedprairieboy @ Sat Feb 24, 2007 10:55 am

lily lily:
Had the results gone the other way, would you accept them as gospel, or would you suspect there were some "dishonourable" cons who skewed the vote?

34-21 doesn't looked "fixed" to me.

Frankly, yes I would have. I was expecting closer to 90% in favour seeing as how the comments were about 95%.

I agree it was. I wouldn't be doing my job if everyone loved me.

This was about an exercise in the principles of Democracy and had nothing to do with left or right. The exercise failed and I believe it was not the will of the majority but rather the will of the minority.
