MissT MissT:

Heroism (when wanted and appropriate): Yes Please Bart!

Hypocrisy: No Thanks!

When I was talking about "democracy" and "freedom" I was, of course, referring to the propaganda that preceded the invasion of Iraq, and the present hypocritical imperial climate we find ourselves in today - but you knew that already.

The propaganda that preceeded the Iraq invasion was the WMD thing that the UN, the Clinton Administration, and Saddam Hussein himself propagated. The Bush Administration was errant in trusting these sources to be accurate and they acted on that errant information.

They compounded the problem by reinventing the invasion after it took place and saying it was about regime change and then they committed us to building a nation when we could've pulled out with grace and victory after capturing Hussein.

MissT MissT:
And I'm not against ALL laws. I'm just saying, there are times when protest is important and history has justified many protests for social progress. Sometimes, it is morally justifiable to break the law in order to change it. (And, sometimes not.) And sometimes you may not actually be breaking the law but they drag you in anyway because they don't like what you're trying to say. Although I respect the law, and the need for it, I still give priority to my own moral judgement, because I recognise the law is not universally infallible. It sometimes has a little catching up to do.

My judgement of this case is not whether it is illegal or not, but based on the background behind it, the needs that must be addressed, and the behaviour of all concerned.

If, however, the present situation is getting hijacked by different groups coming to Caledonia, and the original protesters are now feeling uncomfortable with the way things are developing, I would do my utmost to try and resolve this thing without letting it get out of hand.

Going back to what I've said, if the Natives obtain the proper permits to protest then do so and have a good time. If they are denied the permits in a discriminatory way Canada has judicial mechanisms in place to protect their rights.

But their rights do not include the right to terrorize people in their homes.

Again, the people who commit such acts are merely terrorists to me and I could care less what their reasons are, I will shoot such people for said behavior were they to do so on my property. I have zero tolerance for terrorists. I've lost too many of my friends to fucktards who thinks it's their "right" to commit acts of terror as some sort of 'protest' and I no longer care who it is or why they are doing it, I demand that they stop.

Fortunately, shooting terrorists like that on your personal or business property is legal in California.

Everythin's the white mans fault...those damn crackers....stole my land hundreds of years ago and so the blame passes to the current people, stole my 50,000 dollar truck that the government pays for me....even my new casino that pumps billions into aboriginal coffers but the leaders are too corrupt and so the blame goes to the damn white man....

A Natives tale of woe.

You can always move the fuck back to whatever country you came from!

Because we are not going away, thats for damn sure!

Nice attitude there Donny.

His own posts say "Canada Baby, Love it or Leave it. "

I guess you support his comments?

Well, since the Natives say that they are sovereign then perhaps they should leave since they don't think that they are Canadian and clearly evince their contempt for the same Canadian laws that they expect to be enforced on their own behalf.

Be Canadian and be a loyal Canadian and then perhaps you may gain some traction with your claims.

Until then I think most Canadians just see you people as nothing more than Quebec but without the good food and coffee.

If Saddam had publicly denied a WMD program instead of bragging about a program that apparently did not exist then an invasion would not have taken place. He played too many damn games with the UN inspectors and, for better or for worse, Bush called him on it.

In hindsight, the invasion was misguided.

But the long-term benefit is that countries such as Iran who choose to not cooperate with the UN will think twice about that.

It's far better to have litte white SUV's with "UN" running about your country as opposed to M-1A1 Main Battle Tanks.

Where I think this effect will benefit is in Darfur if the UN ever gets off its collective ass to do anything about it. If the UN can get their crap together to condemn the genocide there then the regime in Sudan will change their polices as opposed to dealing with what would certainly be a Libyan-supported US-led operation against Sudan.

See, Libya is a country that learned not to fuck with the USA and now that they're trying to be a nice guy by helping the Christians and animists who are being slaughtered in Darfur the benefits are coming their way in the form of opening trade and military ties.

ROTFL

Too funny! Well, the other food I've had when in Montreal has been excellent. I didn't even try the poutine, to be honest.

Question:

If the federal and provincial governments have been collecting taxes for the use and ownership of land then why haven't the "white" guys started a class action against the government for fraud? If they are charging taxes on stolen land then they should be taken to task.

I have a bit of grief everytime this comes up because I am of both camps, therefore anything I say usually alienates me from both

btw...Your councilling will be funded by taxpayers.

No , the description of unappreciative and ungrateful is better applied to natives. Taxpayers have given free money to natives - for no good reason- Over the course of decades. And now when natives dont get want they want, they commit acts of Terrorism and try to kill Police Officers at Caledonia.

We owe you nothing because thereality is that you owned nothing when Settlers arrived here and made this country into what it is today.

You keep saying that but yet we keep winning land claims!!

I would say that your own personal bigoted viewpoints are not reality at all.

Perhaps you could do something about the endless dollars that taxpayers are fronting to pay for our lawyers, your lawyers and the billions of dollars in court and other legal costs.

Do you think arguing with us here will change any of the processes that are in place to settle land claims? Do you think arguing here will change the fact that Canada still claims vast areas of land that it can not legally account for under her own laws??

You poor bastard. It sucks to be you.
