Yeah, that's the kind of attitude that makes people think your trade deals are shit.

Transit costs are part of the shipping cost.

If someone ships something by rail from Maine to Washington via Quebec and across to BC then why shouldn't Canada get most of the shipping fee?

Likewise if most of the pipeline is in the US then the US should get to keep an appropriate amount of the transit fee on the oil.

Bill Clinton came in 4th in 1992 in Iowa, so don't get too wet about Bernie's chances. Even if he were elected pres (no chance) he'll be even more ineffectual than Obama with the kind of Congress he'll be facing. Guess it would say something positive about the US if he were to be elected tho.

I think you're nuts if you think Bernie has a chance. However he does in the north, wait til the southern primaries start. Bloodbath.

I'm starting to think that a Republican pres and congress is the way to go. Maybe the only way to cure this cancer is to let it grow out of control til it eats itself.

And maybe they'll allow the Keystone pipe to go ahead. Maybe that will quiet the Alberta whiners, send a few (discounted) bucks to Alberta and Canada doesn't take any environmental risk.

Trump didn't show up, right? That would do it right there.

What's surprising me right now is that Cruz is leading Trump. I thought Iowa was a slamdunk for Trump, especially after Cruz sent out those voter shaming psuedo-official fear flyers

Perhaps the voters of Iowa do not like being dissed by a candidate who does not show up for a debate in their state. If someone cannot stand up to a few questsions from a female reporter from Fox news, how can they stand up to Putin, China, Isis, etc. ?

If some publication does not use the headline "Trump Schlonged", a great injustice will have occurred.
