DNC failed to staff 90 precincts and are talking about "recreating the results" now.

What the fuck?

They are asking both the campaigns to report their personal tallies so they can "recreate" the numbers.

The DNC is an incredibly shitty organization. The Microsoft app seemed to fail numerous times as well.

Annoying. Can see why Bernie's campaign expressed worries about it awhile ago.

Agreed. The DNC is being poorly run these days. Both nationally, and on the state level.

I'm reading that in some precincts, the winner is being decided by coin flip. What sort of arcane muddle is that? Pathetic.

As always, the comparisons between CLinton and Tracy Flick are as apt as ever.

The problem with Bernie doing well is people have now, you know...heard of him.

So now it's OK Bernie, what's your plan?

Good luck selling that one comrade.

His plan.

$1:
And while the WaPo argues that what Sanders is spending is not even close to what is actually needed for things like infrastructure repair work, much of those costs are shared by several levels of government - few are the responsibility of the Federal government alone. They also argue that you'd probably pay more in taxes but less in services, but we've seen with Obamacare that that's simply not the case. The government would have to practice restraint, ultimately, in order to keep costs low - whether that restraint is in the size and service provided by a healthcare system, or in the cost. People who can afford to pay more will pay more, until they can't afford to pay more. People who pay less will see their world of services decrease until only basic services are available on demand.

But you already know all that. The point is, what makes the Bernie Sanders number so effectively unsettling, even in the context of a spending plan and a services configuration, is that it seems entirely plausible and Sanders isn't about to refute that assumption. In fact, he'd happily say that that's exactly his plan - to raise taxes in order to make government services free, regardless of the ultimate cost. The bogeymen of the 1% will simply have to pay for it. All $18 trillion of it.

If Bernie can't convincingly win the White states he's screwed.

I don't know about that. This guy should not even be here, He has no super pacs supporting him. No billionaires have him in their pocket. This guy is reaching out to the people and running a true grass roots campaign. When is the last time that happened in America? Certainly not in my lifetime. Bernie has been an independent his whole career. He has never been a democrat. He is now currently tied with the equivalent of American Royalty in the democratic party. The fact that an outsider can hang with an democratic establishment candidate like Hillary is amazing to say the least. Americans love the underdog/ Rocky Balboa scenario. We root for the underdog, and love to see establishment types get their comeuppance. Bernie could surprise us all. I wouldn't sell him short.

Looks a lot like Jeremy Corbyn in the UK, the Labour party actually had to make
some fiddling to get him on the nomination.

He was nominated by Party members who openly said they would not support him.

His plan.

ROTFL ROTFL ROTFL

Corbyn is open about giving up Trident, the UK's nuclear deterrent system.
Just a whiff of this happening was one of the big reasons Ed Milliband lost the
previous election.

Yeah, I doubt it's expected by anyone that you'd approve.

Approve ?

Deep down, I think you want Bernie to win, because you want to watch it all burn down.

Bernie will definitely make that happen, even in my lifetime.

Meh, enjoy you delusions, at least it's making you happy.. for a short while.

Go for broke dawg. I'm only in this election cycle for the jokes. Cynicism level now well past elebenty. I see no outcome from this election that that will be good in the slightest for the US, much less the rest of the world. I'm pretty sure that if Cruz or Trump win they'll drop a nuke on someone. Clinton will bring back a tsunami of graft and scandal if she wins, just like it was back when Bill was POTUS. Bernie? Who knows. Big dreams but I doubt he'd be able to get a single one of his ideas past the Tea Party Congress, and they'll hate him so much and so quickly they'll look like they're Obama's best friends in comparison.

Similar to a swinette?
The musical instrument made from a pig's snatch stretched over a rain barrel that you pluck with your lips? (How 1970s is that)

But now that Trump has lost the Iowa Caucus will he fire himself? Considering he only likes winners?

2nd place in one primary election is not a loss. He's still in it and so is Rubio even at a distant third place.

Now we'll see what happens in New Hampshire for the GOP.

For the Democrats New Hampshire is expected to go to Sanders and not by any small margin.
