Where this whole discussion comes down to, is again only one thing. A muslim can obviously not have his own mind, can not see right from wrong, but only sees what is written in the Koran, and then only the bad things. All muslims are the same.

Damn, am I glad I am not a blonde

They are trained to follow orders, as Bart has mentioned here if those orders were "unlawful" they would not be carried out. Their training includes many things part of that is to shoot to kill, much as a police officer, a SWAT member. Hit men are hired killers acting outside the law for the sole intent of murdering someone. I again say it is an unethical point of debate.

Well, whether one commits murder for money or commits murder due to orders, a murder is a murder, wouldn't you agree? (not referring to anything, just a general questions)

I mean, if a soldier or a cop or a swat member were to shoot someone that didn't commit a crime, I am sure people call that murder, right?

See here's where I have problems. Are you trying to be as obtuse as possible or just trolling. You're right murder is murder. The difference between the military and terrorists is when we discover a murder has been committed we prosecute the individual and hold him accountable. Terrorists make a video on Youtube and the muslim world is silently condoning it!

If you are trying to lead me to say that the soldiers in the middle east are committing murder, it won't happen. I clearly set out to you that in the case of a raped 14 year old and the resultant death of her family that was outside of the rules so to speak. A soldier, officer of the law following orders is not committing murder. If they went rogue made up their own "rules" acted outside of their duties then yes you have a point, they should then be held accountable.

Actually that is wrong. We can see right from wrong because of the Quran, it helps us, it doesn't stop us. If you believe Quran mentions something which is incorrect to your beliefs then there is a reason why you are not Muslim and I am. Religion is a belief, a person picks the religion based on what the religion has to offer. I did not see anything wrong with Islam and I truly believe its the word of God, just like Christians believe in the Bible and Jews in Torah.

By the way, we are not blonds, if we were, we wouldn't have given birth to enlightenment that took place in Europe and brought about all the civil rights for men and women.

Hehehe, I was sarcastic ;-)

I understand why people believe in what they believe. I don't and I have my reasons. Just as you have for believing. And there is nothing wrong with that, either way, as long as it doesn't hurt others.

Nova,

I have a question for you:

How do you feel about the soldiers that raped that 14 year old iraqi girl and then killed her family afterwards. Do you see something wrong with that? or do you think thats part of war?

About the same as killing unarmed South Koreans or killing aid workers or rounding up women and kids into a soccer stadium and killing them.......much the same really.

Thats wrong even though I think the 14 year old girl was much worse but point is that both were wrong and they should be acknowledged as you acknowledge every Western death.

The difference is the US soldiers who did that were arrested, tried and sentenced to very long tems in prison. They faced public revulsion in the west.

On the other hand Al Queda and Taliban murderers are celebrated in the muslim world.

Correct me if I'm wrong but since we are in Afghanistan on the same mission, Canadians must be peacekeepers as well.

Actually, Canadian, Dutch, British and American troops are doing most of the fighting in Afghanistan. most of the other NATO nations have tonnes of troops there, but have such tight restrictions on what they can do.
