Breaking: Epstein found dead in jail cell

This might be called an “assisted suicide” in certain circles.
What ?
Noooooooooooo.
He killed himself by hitting himself in the back of the head with a blunt force
object 3 times after breaking 4 vertebrae with a piece of paper.
Yes, somebody did that to"assist his suicide" even though he might not have agreed, as he is a degenerate pedophile who cares?

Who cares is because this guy was a pimp to the rich and powerful and likely extorting them over their dalliances. And considering how fishy his death smells, it seems unlikely that he killed himself of his own volition.
This is supposed to be one of the US’ most secure prisons. El Chapo is housed there as was the WTC bomber back in the 90’s. There’s just so many questions being raised over Epstein’s death it’s high octane conspiracy fuel.
I was surprised by Wiki’s reported frequency of hyoid bone fractures in hangings. It’s quite high and is presumably even higher in men of Epstein’s age:
$1:
Here’s a large series that found them in 38%

He was 183cm tall, the bunk he "hung" himself on would have been shorter than that, he wouldn't have been able to work up enough force to break bones.

Here's a novel idea... maybe, just maybe, Epstein actually committed suicide without assistance... I know it's a stretch but weirder things have happened.
But I'm glad to see we have so many forensics experts on CKA.

I think that depends on the drop height.

It is novel and I don't like it.

Well, a person undergoing asphyxia will struggle desperately to breathe. It’s difficult to put an upper limit on the forces that could be exerted in such a situation even if the body is not fully off the ground.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Official_Table_of_DropsI’m referring to suicidal hanging, not judicial executions. The trauma to tissues in executions is much greater.

I agree that suicide is the most likely explanation.
On the issue of complete versus incomplete suspension in suicidal hanging, both can cause bone fractures but in at least one Canadian study they were twice as common in cases of complete suspension in older victims:
$1:
The incidence of fractures did not vary significantly with the type of suspension (i.e. complete hanging with feet off the ground or incomplete hanging with body parts partially supporting the weight of the body) (χ(2)=3.12; p=.077; Phi=.077) and the type of ligature (i.e. narrow vs wide) (χ(2)=.05; p=.828; Phi=.015). However, when taking the age of the victims into account, a different picture was revealed: in individuals aged 40 years or more, victims with complete suspension of the body presented with a significantly higher incidence of fractures (63.2%) compared to victims with incomplete suspension (31.0%) (χ(2)=6.79; p=.009; Phi=.318).
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20952138Even with incomplete suspension, the frequency of fractures is 31% in older subjects. How many are hyoid bone fractures is in the paper, presumably.

A few people seem to think that it's a stretch... probably the same people who believe that the moon landing was fake... that the world is flat... and that the World Trade Centre attacks was an inside job.

He may have offed himself but, regardless of whether he did it or not he or, you know who's contractor was obviously given every opportunity and assistance required to do the deed.
When it was his Lawyer who took him off suicide watch and not his psychiatrist it should have raised a giant fucking red flag and been the first indication that there was something rotten in the state of Denmark.
