if it's really that important to you... i made a different account since i hadn't logged into the iceowl account in a long time. there were disputes about the rules, but i argued that the rule the mods were attempting to apply to me didn't satisfy the circumstances and won with the deletion of the old account.

You were asked to pick one or the other and use it. No one gets to post under 2 seperate accounts here. Pretty simple rule actually.

But it would be so much fun arguing with myself!

It would be real interesting if Obama manages to "beat" Jimmy Carter into being the President we most wanted to see leave office.

I'm thinking Obama should lead the way to Mars by moving there.

Now.

Great Bart now I have the image of Obama in a space suit pointing up at the sky saying "To space and beyond, yes we can"

Not to be difficult, but I recall that someone here (a moderator?) routinely uses two different accounts.

Remember Sarah Palin's 'Death Panels'? Long story short: She was right.

Lacking. In so many ways.

If next year's implementation of Health Care Reform is executed in a disastrous fashion, which is very likely, the President could easily fall below 30%.

I will never understand why the Administration agreed to fully implement the law during an election year.
Could that have been part of the negotiation with Republicans?

<Repubs> We don't want ObamaCare! It's gonna ruin American health care!
<Dems> Wanna make a wager on that? we'll implement it in an election year; if it works, we'll win all over the place. If it doesn't, you'll win the election and come racing to America's rescue.
<Repub Swing Voters> Hrm... I like that idea. We'll take back the country!

How much more ruined can your health care get, anyway?

Republicans tend to look to best-case outcomes rather than average outcomes when judging the quality of a health care system. The USA has, if you can afford it, some of the top outcomes in the world. It's the "if you can afford it" qualifier that Democrats don't like.

Edit: in case it wasn't clear, it's the best-case outcomes Republicans are afraid ObamaCare will lower. That's what ObamaCare is all about, after all; prioritizing equal access.

I'd agree with that. And when you add them all together into gross indices such as infant mortality and life expectancy, you could barely fit a piece of paper between the stats for the US and Canada.
