Why are people in Canada interested in American politics?

I'm not sure I follow why people love to hate on either party from South of the border.

Probably because our American cousins feel the need to post their politics here....constantly.

I guess some are now hooked on the Fox comedy series which is US politics.

For the same reason that Canadians tune into American television programs.

$1:
has little effect on our day to day lives.

You really think that American politics has little effect on our day to day lives?

Did you just compare American sitcoms and television programs to political parties?

Do Americans who watch Canadian shows also get involved in our politics too?

America as a whole has an effect on Canada and our economy. My point was, hating on a party and an election that's out of control will do nothing to affect our day to day lives. We have no say.

Yes I did. Some Canadians are interested in both.

I suspect they might be INTERESTED in them without getting involved in them. Just like Canadians do.

That may have been your point but now you state it has NO effect.

How does the Republican or Democrat party have an effect on your day to day life?

Did your life change once Obama went into office?

Last time they had a Republican in office we changed from neighbours to just more bloody fucking foreigners.
Didn't need a passport for us to go to the USA for over 200 years....

Yes, as did all of our lives when different laws and changes took place...as they always do with new government.

God decided to punish the Republicans by sending tropical storm Isaac to Florida during their national convention.

Except that it missed Florida and is now headed for New Orleans to give Obama a taste of what it's like to be George Bush just in time for the Democrat convention.

And now Obozo wants to militarize the US-Canada border while he's simultaneously suing states that want to secure the Mexican border where there's a real threat.

Hope you folks enjoy all of the armed drones flying along the border and, of course, 'wandering' into your airspace without permission on a daily basis. [B-o]
