I've already stated many times now that the firemen should have had the option not to go.

You people take one isolated and unfortunate incident from California to discredit gay pride parades everywhere and that's just stupid.

Neither do my gay friends and coworkers. I guess they're all small minded folks, too.

My friend Chris, who has been my friend since 1978 and was my best man at my wedding is and has been adamantly gay. He is also a wonderful fellow, a good friend, and he hates what he calls "fags".

He thinks it's his business and his partners and the pressure to be overtly gay is something he disdains just as much as homophobia.

Do we agree on everything like the military policy on gays? Nope. Not at all.

But we're still friends and he's a decent man who keeps his personal business personal.

I can say the same of a number of my former associates from Intel. Plenty of gay folks work at Intel and they disdain the flamers at the parades for discrediting the gay movement and for propagating stereotypes.

Feel free to check that out: the Intel Gay Lesbian Transgender Club as a policy asks its members to eschew public demonstrations such as parades in favour of doing more important things such as United Way fundraisers.

But I guess they're all just narrow minded.

   

I'll say it again...our sexuality is but one small facet that defines us as individuals, however many gays and lesbians behave as if that is their sole defining character. What sad, sad people.

Because nobody's forcing him to go to them yet he still finds the time of day to sit around complaining about them. The existence of such parades alone is enough to bother him. Same with you, yet there are real problems this world is facing like starving children and terrorism. Get over it and move on.

Well, since they are paid for by my tax money, I think I have a right to complain, don't you? Who do you think pays for the Police that is on the streets to protect people? Who do you think pays for the cleaningpeople who have to clean up the mess?

I rather see my tax money go to the starving children, but hey, no possible, because you can spend your money only once, right?
