Pretty much everyone hated the USNWT back in the Brandi Chastain, Hope Solo, and Abby Wambach days too, because the team had perfected the combination of highly talented mixed with totally obnoxiousness. That's why everyone outside the US detested them, because they were that damn good and wildly arrogant at the same time. Rapinoe managed to achieve an extra something though that her predecessors probably never even though of. She actually managed to make American citizens hate their own team & want to see them lose - keep the arrogance but add a massive amount of anti-patriotic wokeism to the mix. All of this accomplished by proudly becoming another hateful performative kneeler riding the wave of the current putrid zeitgeist to wealth & fame.
Go woke, take a massive shit on your own country at every opportunity, make lots of money off the same people you despise, and leave nothing but destruction of a once-loved entity in your wake. And conveniently retire in time to not see the trans "women" you openly support take both your former spot & other actual real women's spots on a women's team. Gotta love it, the entirety of what's gone so horribly wrong with this disgusting society be put on perfect display by a single incredibly obnoxious purple haired woman.

. And isn’t Sweden more “woke” of a country?
But because they are supremely arrogant and act like they deserve to win all the time because ‘Murica. And they certainly didn’t deserve to win this WWC. Their tactics were shit, guileless and inflexible and they couldn’t score a goal to save their lives. And the players played as individuals and not as a team.

Given how they behaved during the national anthem this time around it was more like almost all of them were "we deserve to win because AMERIKKKA SUCKS!".
And you wildly underestimate how stable, generally sensible, and internally strong Sweden actually is. They certainly aren't conservative, at least in the American sense. But they certainly aren't runaway lefty insane either, despite some interesting features in their social & immigration policies. That NATO probably became 20% stronger in military terms overnight just from Sweden being granted membership is proof enough that Sweden never has, isn't, and never will be controlled by a bunch of destructive woke flakes.
Scandinavia's ridiculous liberalization of some truly disgusting pornography back in the 1960's and 70's unfortunately tarred them permanently with an undeserved reputation for gratuitous licentiousness. And that in turn led to them too often being thought of as weak. They really aren't like that at all though. It's been a very long time since the Swedes had to punch someone in the face. When it happens again though, whoever they sock in the mouth isn't going to enjoy it at all.

Child, 3, dies on migrant bus to Chicago: Tribune

CHICAGO — A three-year-old child died aboard a migrant bus to Chicago, the Tribune reported.
The Chicago Tribune stated that an Illinois Department of Public Health official confirmed the child died while entering the Chicago area.
Since last year, about 12,000 migrants have been bussed to Chicago by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, without warning. The city has been trying to find spaces to temporarily house them along with dealing with concerned community members and response from the police.

One former worker at SMART, an adult migrant who left for another auto industry job last year, said there were around 50 underage workers between the different plant shifts, adding that he knew some of them personally. Another former adult worker at SMART, a U.S. citizen who also left the plant last year, said she worked alongside about a dozen minors on her shift.
Another former employee, Tabatha Moultry, 39, worked on SMART's assembly line for several years through 2019. Moultry said the plant had high turnover and increasingly relied on migrant workers to keep up with intense production demands. She said she remembered working with one migrant girl who "looked 11 or 12 years old."

Shop owner killed over Pride flag display outside her California store

A storeowner in California was killed Friday after a dispute over an LGBTQ2 Pride flag displayed outside her shop spiralled into deadly violence, police said. Online tributes have poured in to honour the late businesswoman, who was a beloved figure in her local community.
A man shot and killed 66-year-old Laura Ann Carleton right in front of her clothing store in Cedar Glen, a small community in the San Bernadino Mountains, east of Los Angeles.
The man “made several disparaging remarks about a rainbow flag that stood outside the store before shooting Carleton,” according to a statement from the San Bernadino County Sheriff’s Department.
Carleton was pronounced dead by medical personnel outside Mag.Pi, the clothing store she owned and operated.
The man fled the scene on foot after the shooting Friday afternoon, but police eventually located him and he was killed in a confrontation with officers. He was still armed with a handgun when police attempted to contact him.
Further details about the unnamed man, and the “lethal force encounter” that left him dead, were not released by police.
