KOJO should have every single government & private contract it has to put on its race-baiting sessions cancelled just to force them out of skeevy & slimy business they're running. Putting KOJO on the same level as Jordan Peterson, who only said something stupid while in a rage on Twitter as opposed to KOJO who actually killed someone, is just wrong. If anyone has anything in common with Peterson it's the late Richard Bilkszto, given that both men were incessantly harassed & relentless slandered by the woke mob who never even gave a second of time to listen to what either man had to say.

When he stays on topic or gets interviewed Peterson is like a breath of fresh air. His flaw is that he is too easily led into getting involved in things so existentially unimportant as Twitter beefs. And he doesn't have enough of a light side in his personality to slough those idiotic Twitter moments off - he's too serious and he makes unserious things important by dignifying them with a response or reaction. There is no point ever in getting into some sort of chud fight with the fans of celebrities or with social media "personalities". Anyone with any decency who does this isn't just wasting their time, they're giving legitimization to the sort of abysmal twats who are so far beneath them in any sort of quality that they might as well be dust mites.

   

I've read summations of his post coma behaviour that likens his work to a bunch of targeted dog whistles. They are meant to be effective toward a certain group, much like the NXIM stuff. A true cult. They are ineffective against a certain discriminating reader, but hit bullseyes on others.

And I was always told "Never teach a pig to whistle. It wastes your time, and annoys the pig."

   

He talks a lot of shit that's out of his professional purview while using his title as a means if implied authority. In a way, he's bringing his professional association into disrepute. Understandable why they'd try to dump him.

   

A large number of people at the doctorate level are polymaths. Just because they aren't officially certified in certain areas doesn't mean that they're entirely ignorant of research & proven hypotheses covering multiple areas. And even the most basic PhD recipient, polymath or not, is probably more knowledgeable & accurate in more things than most of the rest of us will ever be in one thing. See David Suzuki, who isn't a certified climatologist or physicist or chemist, yet who is generally trusted on all-things-scientific even if his doctorate is in genetics & zoology. Neil Degrasse Tyson. Eric Weinstein. Bret Weinstein. Cornel West. John Loury. etc etc etc

Jordan Peterson isn't a certified historian. But I'd concentrate less on his knowledge of exact dates & event minutia in the history of totalitarianism and more on the fact that he understands the totalitarian mindset better than any of us neophytes blabbing away about such things in these grim little corners of the internet. Or that, like John Campbell or JRR Tolkien, he has an innate understanding of how important the nature of a mythical story has been and still is to the development of human society. And also how important the heroic archetype, fictional or based on an actual living man who over time has become a legend, is to the development of a healthy male mind.

   

Understanding the process of science is what allows some people to trust the findings of people outside of their specialization. David Suzuki, Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Sabine Hossenfelder, etc. will all say "I'm not an expert, so let's welcome our special guest to the show who is well versed in the field." They have writers and researchers that suss out the details of studies and papers on a subject that the host will read from a detailed script.

Petersen will ignore the experts in a field that don't fit in with his biases. Petersen may well understand math, physics, chemistry to a graduate level degree, because that is part of a medical doctorate. But that doesn't mean he applies the neutrality that the scientific process demands in order to remove human biases from his field of study. Instead he will repeat the same 'the government is censoring me', etc. BS without citing any evidence because that is the type of viewer he wants to cultivate.

He is free to do that, as we are free to not listen. But when he also claims to be a 'therapist' while also counselling people to harm themselves, then he breaks the purpose of being a registered therapist, and the body that regulates that title must force it's member to comply with the rules of being a therapist or leave the body and stop calling himself that. Temper tantrums are irrelevant. He's a professional, or he's not.

   

It’s not that he doesn’t know when the Battle of Hastings was or shit like that. It’s his meme level understanding of ideas like socialism and such. The other people you mentioned, it’s apparent that they’ve made the effort to learn about the subjects they talk about. Not so with captain benzo.

Yup. And it's disingenuous to imply he's a polymath when he rarely shows knowledge beyond his own field of study, and ignorance of his own colleagues related fields of study.

   

He's a clinical psychologist, I believe. Psychology is an arts degree and requires minimal courses in math or science.




I'm not familiar with everything he has said and have not seen any tweet where he told anyone to harm themselves. Most of what I see is just flaming alt-right tweets, sometimes unhinged, which, in my opinion, is protected free speech. And that means protection from the regulatory body. To my knowledge, none of this is related to his conduct with clients. I see unhinged tweets from loads of people claiming to be professionals on Twitter.

Clearly the regulatory body and Ontario court disagrees. I stand with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association: "Freedom of expression is a right that no individual gives up just because they join a regulated profession." The Constitution, including the Charter, is supposed to be the Supreme Law of Canada, but the courts rarely treat it as such.

   

You may be right about him counselling suicide. Most of the claims are from third parties, so unless the tweet is deleted, then it's hearsay.

But the crux of the professional complaint seems to come from how he deals with Elliot Page. It's actually quite astonishing how one person drives him into an incoherent rage. That actually got Peterson suspended from Twitter.

I don't think he actually takes in-person patients anymore.

   

Elliot Page? I saw an interview with him, and he seems like a pretty together individual, living his best life or whatever the kids say these days.

It's the one's like Kayla Lemieux and that groomer from Maple Ridge a couple-few years back, that are just obviously very ill people that get me.
