Oh come on, let’s hear it. We’re you going to say she had it coming for flying a pride flag?
Nah, I wouldn't say anything like that at all. I was going to post a treasure trove of articles about the trans attacking the perfidious TERFs and one (also in California) where a trans recently stabbed a homeless woman to death. Then I realized that doing so would be pointless because in the case of the TERFs too many here would genuinely believe that they deserved it. And in the instance of the homeless woman no one would even really care, because the real culprit would be cis patriarchy or white supremacy or whatever irrelevancy would immediately pop into the progressive minds if they heard about it.
As for the flag killing keep some background things in mind:
- San Bernardino is a hellhole of street violence right now, just like every other city in California is right now and apparently will be into the immediate future; the place is swarming with mentally ill homeless and a lot of them, the US being the US, are armed with handguns; the commercial business areas of San Bernardino have been basically destroyed altogether by the ongoing crime and other related street shenanigans; the streets of California right now are the most dangerous places in the entire US right now, thanks to the political activity of the state Democratic Party that's turned it into a mecca of wildly violent & anti-social behaviour
- "shouting slurs" doesn't necessarily mean political manifesto, so there's a solid chance the killer wasn't turned on to direct action by Matt Walsh, Megyn Kelly, or Andy Ngo
- the shooter got gunned down in a blaze by the police, which is too often typical of what happens when they don't care about living anymore and that aspect of police shootings is atypical of what happens when dealing with a political terrorist from the "far right" who usually get taken alive
- Coulter's Dictum, where information is only released quickly to the media when the killer is white, is also in full effect given that the police and prosecutors have refused to release any details on the shooter: three days later means there's a good reason to believe the shooter is therefore somewhere in the upper third of the victim sacred pyramid, e.g. black, trans, homeless, mentally ill, etc.
So despite what was said on the previous page certain things appear obvious:
- no, no one deserves to die for having a rainbow flag in front of their store, no more than six people (including three children) in Tennessee deserved to be gunned down by a trans terrorist who attacked a Christian school
- the side that's been trying it's best to destroy free speech really shouldn't present themselves as absolutists in favour of free speech when for over a decade they've been cancelling anyone who dissents by trying to destroy their careers, by having riots erupt whenever a dissenter makes a public appearance, or even trying to get them thrown into prison for the "crimes" of deadnaming or misgendering
The real facts of the San Bernardino incident have yet to be revealed. And they might never be made public at all, especially if the information about the shooter runs counter to the ongoing Democratic narrative & "progressive" agenda. The same thing's already happened in Tennessee where the school shooter's terrorist manifesto has successfully been covered up by those in authority. Regardless of all that, if anything this is all just a reminder not to play the "stochastic terrorism" card too quickly. Most of the time it's completely wrong.

CEDAR GLEN, Calif. — A 27-year-old man killed by California sheriff’s deputies over the weekend after he fatally shot a store owner had ripped down an LGBTQ+ Pride flag outside the business and shouted homophobic slurs at the woman, authorities said Monday.
When deputies confronted Travis Ikeguchi on foot about a mile from the store Friday night, he opened fire on them, striking multiple squad cars, San Bernardino County Sheriff Shannon Dicus told reporters. Deputies returned fire and shot Ikeguchi, who died at the scene, Dicus said. No deputies were hurt.
Laura Ann Carleton was pronounced dead at Mag.Pi, the store she owned and operated in Cedar Glen. The small community in the San Bernadino Mountains is roughly 60 miles (96 kilometers) east of downtown Los Angeles.
“Investigators determined that prior to the shooting the suspect tore down a Pride, or rainbow, flag that was hanging in front of the store and yelled many homophobic slurs toward Carleton,” Dicus said during Monday’s media briefing.
Ikeguchi, who lived in Cedar Glen, frequently posted hate-filled content on social media, sheriff’s officials said.

I guess we'll never know his real motivations...

Maybe someone did something to him when he was a child and the rage over what happened consumed him. Bad dad too apparently.

Odd though that in three days we find out more about this particular shooter than we ever will about the terrorist that attacked the Covenant school in Tennessee months ago. It's almost like certain authorities and media operations want the public to know more about those criminals who fall into the social enemy category than they do when someone in their social friend category does something horrific. I wonder why that could be....

Actually, you can thank the families of the victims for the lack of information on the shooter's motivations. They sued to prevent their release and challenges to that ruling are ongoing. It's legal wrangling, not a BS conspiracy.

Burial of information, the kind the public has always been provided before through the media, is never a good thing. Hopefully there's some sort of appeal on constitutional grounds in process. It's like if the Kennedy's got together with the family of Oswald and demanded the revealed reason for the assassination of JFK to be suppressed on compassionate grounds. And the "stop any copycats" is a false canard, as shown by far too many years of shootings where the killers only have mental illness & outright evil personalities as common factors.
The families seem like a confused lot, with all due respect to them. They were involved in some sort of "gun-free zone" nonsense at the state capital today that got interrupted by protestors. I'm not sure who they got their information from or who is advising them legally. But the Covenant school was a gun-free zone when the trans terrorist attacked it. The sole defense there was locked doors and some bulletproof glass that badly failed - there was no armed security or staff. Being "gun free" didn't help the victims at all, in fact it probably made the tragedy that much worse without an armed presence in the building to immediately confront the attacker.

I agree. I think their intent is to prevent the release as an act of closure and to prevent the shooter’s twisted rantings from doing more harm, which I understand. But they should still be released.
Ontario court rules against Jordan Peterson, upholds social media training order

Definitely lots of deplorables sitting in judge's chambers these days. The judiciary was one of the primary institutions to be captured by the movement and going by the sort of decisions that began to be issued as far back as the 1970's they were captured a very long time ago.

Probably the least surprising headline of the year. I wonder if KOJO Institute will do the social media training. That would be awesome.
They don't seem to have this for engineers. I've seen Canadians who say they are engineers post some pretty wild and wacky stuff on Twitter. To the point of "if that is your understanding of science, you shouldn't be designing anything." Maybe none of them are as famous as Peterson though.

APEGGA and ASET don't really have online conduct guidelines, but then again we aren't giving out mental health advice like 'unalive yourself' as Petersen does. Just like Ezra Levant, Petersen should have not been surprised that a professional organization is there to keep it's members professional. That's why Andrew Wakefield flips burgers now. If Petersen wants to be the next Don Cherry, I say let him. But he can't call himself a therapist and council people to kill themselves.

BC does have that in its Code of Ethics:
Principle 7 [DISTINGUISHING BETWEEN FACTS, ASSUMPTIONS, AND OPINIONS] of the Code of Ethics applies when preparing reports, discussing engineering or geoscience work with clients and colleagues, making statements to the media, publishing articles, and discussing topics online or in a public forum.
I've never heard of being used in reference to social media posting.
