So you think being questioned by somebody with a gun is good or you don't think guns change attitudes, SS?
Well we havent armed our Customs agent YET, but you would be suprised what they have stored ion the Offices though.. My Cousin was in Charge of the Cornwall Customs Crossing for a while...
I don't have a problem with them having access to guns, RH. I object to the first impression a visitor gets of our country being a man with a gun asking them baffling questions.
I know a Canada Customs officer here in Ottawa. He's not on the front line anymore, office dude now, but he had a great arguement AGAINST arming customs officials: He told me one night he felt he was NOT a threat to someone who was armed, but WOULD be considered a threat to an armed criminal. Good point, I have to admit. Just don't keep them unarmed for political correctness, do it or don't do it for the right reasons.
Hey nonrev ...at least we agree on our "valiant" leadership in Ottawa, you mouthy bastard. Why don't you take the advice & pm me with your intellectually superior insults so they don't get deleted, and I can tell just what level of asshole I'm dealing with, instead of hearing it second-hand?
