Poll: U.S. in Iraq Clouds Mideast Stability

WASHINGTON -- The presence of U.S. troops in Iraq is a greater threat to Mideast stability than the government in Iran, according to a poll of European and Muslim countries.
People in Britain, France, Germany, Spain and Russia rated America's continuing involvement in Iraq a worse problem than Iran and its nuclear ambitions, according to polling by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press. Views of U.S. troops in Iraq were even more negative in countries like Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey and Pakistan.
But go ahead and claim those are shabby news organisations if you like. Stake your credibility against them all, be my guest. But if you make a fool of yourself, don't expect me to bother to reply.
Over the past 25 years the media has been so overcome with lefty reporters be it printed or aired that the New York Times , Washington Post and many Radio and TV broadcasters along with many Universities who are overloaded with lefty Professors that spew garbage and misinformation..
It is very difficult to believe what the media is spewing in todays world.
Lou Dobbs of CNN is a lefty commie idiot. His job is to report truth and facts and does he? No freaking way does he do that. The CBC and Toronto Lieberal Star are another example of the worst media in Canada. They spew lies and completely misinform the public.
That is a part of why the population has become so lefty orientated and uneducated. Family values have been left to school teachers because far too many parents are focused on being greedy pigs and to hell with their kids. So the majority of school teachers do not believe in education just socialism which is definitely the wrong answer.
Is there a need for some social values? Of course there is however the risk factor is taken only by those who decide to start up and grow a business. Unions do not take any risks whatsoever.
Until there is a balance which is desparately required, misinformation and/or if you like LIES will continue to be aired and published. See what happened in Lebanon with the Hezbollah dictating what the media will air or publish!Or the 665,000 dead Iraqis well ha ha ha ha over 350,000 were Kurds and they were murdered by Saddam Husseins forces. The overall majority of dead residents in Iraq were not caused by the British or Americans or Australians. It was caused mainly by insurgents and terrorists that were hired by religious groups in Iraq.
That is why there was a song written in the Ottawa Valley years ago entitled:
Meadow Muffins
I've got the Meadow Muffin Blues
I've got the damn stuff on my shoes
etc etc etc....

Perhaps you are right for Communist countries or dictatorships. But in a democracy of the people, by the people and for the people they are one in the same
perhaps you are right for a utopian democracy, but that doesn't exist in the west....or anywhere for that matter. there aren't any true democracies.
Hmmm, where did you take your Government class, in Canada? The US has never been a democracy.

"The true distinction between these forms (democracy and republic) is, that in a Democracy, the people meet and exercise the government in person; in a republic, they assemble and administer it by their representatives and agents."

The USA is the biggest democratic Country in the world.
Canada sure as hell isn't because of what those communist bastard Lieberals did to us under Trudeau the Commie son of a bitch which was continued on by Chretien and Martin.
The USA is a role model for democracy followed by the UK then Australia, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, South Korea, New Zealand, Finland, and a few other countries.
Anyone who critcizes the USA for Democracy is a total complete idiot and brainless.

this post isn't even worth a reply, but i'm going to anyway.
maybe if you read what i wrote, you'd understand. the US and canada are democracies because we can vote for our government, but it's not TRUE democracy because the people don't have a direct say in every matter of the government. how could they, in a country the size of canada with the millions of people who live here? thus, you can't say that the government and the people are one and the same, therefore you can like a country's people but not its government.
try reading the whole thread before you post next time.

Oh for fuck's sake. You guys are arguing over an article from a right-wing rag like the Washington Times? Rev. Moon's rag? Jesus. That's like taking Bill O'Reilly or the comics seriously.
Whatta fuckin' waste of bandwidth!
