That's the title of the news article. Further, the story is about the results of a question put forth by Canadian polling company, Ipsos-Reid.

Thankyou for clarifying that ( semi sarcastic )

I am not surprised by the results at all. Being Canadian gives us a wealth of knowledge about how the US is perceived around the world, because right after people mistake us for Americans and we correct them, we get to hear what they think of Americans. It is not pretty. The US is seen as a major bully and aggressor, involved in things that are not its business worldwide, only to protect and advance their own corporate interests.
The US is, in fact, the equivalent (or worse) of the British colonialism they fought to be free of.
How's that for irony!

Indeed, although I think you might be giving the US a bit too much credit when you speak of colonialism... it's more like Imperialism, and to compare them to the British... again, a bit too nice. If it were not for the fact that this conflict will rage on for many years to come, and history is still in the process of unfolding, I would have compared Bush to another little evil man who made a big impact in Europe in the 1940's. He had a nation of fools all believing they were doing something honerable when they attacked Poland... kicking off the start of WWII.

That's right. It's a collection of states, hence the name. Or at least that's the way the brochure should read.
Please do us a favor and stay home on election day. Your cynicism isn't helpful at all.
Tsk tsk, trying to dissuade a voter from voting. Hardly living up to your monicker now are you?

Again you err not knowing the Founders.

The USA is the biggest democratic Country in the world.
Canada sure as hell isn't because of what those communist bastard Lieberals did to us under Trudeau the Commie son of a bitch which was continued on by Chretien and Martin.
The USA is a role model for democracy followed by the UK then Australia, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Iceland, South Korea, New Zealand, Finland, and a few other countries.
Anyone who critcizes the USA for Democracy is a total complete idiot and brainless.
I assure you that I am none of these other people. However, I have been here before.

Which Founders did you have in mind? I'll will be the first to agree that the salvation of the US is returning to the orginial ideal. However, Red Cape and all, I'll assume that you are going to be as flattering to my beliefs as Maggie.
Sorry, I'm not here to flatter anyone. I'm here to speak the truth to the best of my ability. I enjoy reading revolutionary and constitutional history, and know that the Founders' intent has been so basturdized over 250 years that most people would scarcely recognize their own country.
As someone who was intended to be a citizen of a non existent country (Oregon), I'm behind you 100%.
