What do you mean as foe? Are you asking if the United States is our enemy? Do you view them as our enemy? I'm confused, how can America be our 'foe' if we have be allies for over a century. Please elaborate.

Irrespective of my personal views the poll is fairly unbiased and self-explanatory. Do you consider the USA to be a friend of Canada or an adversary? Are its policies and positions in step with or anathematic to our country? Etc. No grey area....no maybe.....either you think they are good for Canada or you don't.

I see the United States our friend and ally. Having said that, I believe that my support for the Americans is directed towards the population, and not the government. While every policy or action towards Canada may not be "pro-Canadian", it is not my place to call the Americans an adversary of Canadian interests.
The Bush Administration has made its fair share of mistakes, and it still boggles my mind that people voted for him a second time.

I find the whole "I hate the government but support the people" position to be weak and wishy washy. And really, in a democracy whereby the government and the people are one in the same it seems even more ridiculous.
