 Aw, the hell you aren't anti-American. This whole site is nothing BUT anti-American. Killah, you've stumbled into a nest of people who'd like nothing more than to see our country fall flat on its ass. Led by the good reverend, a bitter, left-behind socialist bozo who blames America, Bush, corporations and organized religion for every bad thing that has ever happened to him, you are wasting your time trying to understand this garbage. Most Canadians however are decent people who, like the rest of us, are mostly concerned with earning a living, feeding their families, and enjoying their lives to the maximum extent possible, and bear little or no resemblance to the riff-raff who make you want to believe otherwise. There are malcontents and no-good people on our side of the border too, who if you listen to them long enough will have you believing that the end of the world is upon us. My advice to you is to never mind these jerks. The reality is, you are more right than they are...our similarities far outnumber our differences. There are a few here who hate the US. I'll tell you that there are a few in our "lovely" Motor City who do also. Takes all kinds of people to make a world. Don't get caught up in this crap my friend...that's exactly what they'd like you to do...make you just as bitter, just as left-behind, just as radically whacked out as they are. Resist the temptation and enjoy your life.

Jehosaphats we are not anti Americans ,I personally like the American people it is the way(I am speaking for myself) it is your govt that we ( I ) dont like. There are good and bad on both sides of the border. The point is I guess is how your govt treats us. Like we dont matter on the world stage. We do matter but we would rather do things in a way that doesnt put people in harms ways. No offense Jehosaphat but we dont like to shoot first and ask questions later.
With me I guess is I just dont understand your govts way of doing things. Is Bush really looking after the American people. Personally I wish he would clean up the mess he made in your country then maybe help the rest of the world after he put the states back on the right track again.
No J we are not dissing the states we are just trying to understand it and your ways a bit better.

Or you could go on ignoring the world and what is going on in your own country! Good job buddy! Enough people like you and nothing will get done. We dont hate Americans. We just dont like them stepping on us and the world like they own us.

yes, that's right. All of us. All but Jesophats. At least according to him. If I had the majority of people (on this site) telling me 1 thing and then 1 person telling me the opposite I'd likely not believe that 1 individual. Ya know " majority rule' and all that.

Thanks for the post. I noticed every American on this site lives near or has been to Canada, this futhers my point. Americans don't know "jack" about Canada and since the average American doesn't know anything about you (Canadians) and don't pay you (Canadians) any attention and Canadians feel left-out and jealous.

If Mexicians don't know anything about the U.S. I wouldn't be upset with them not knowing anything about my country. HELL, if Canadians didn't know anything about America I wouldn't be upset.

Majority of people on THIS site? That's like getting the majority opinion of a bunch at a Klan rally. Nice try.

Like it or not, Canada is NOT a major player on the world stage, and unless we are getting cattle from you or wrongly blaming you for causing a power outage, nobody pays any attention to Canada beyond fifty miles away from the border. Why should they? I guarantee you...if a few of you were in charge of things up there, we'd be paying attention, although not in a way in which you'd find yourselves feeling flattered. I like Canada. It's clean, it's safe (although it is becoming less so all the time), it's pretty and most of its people are fantastic. Most. I could say that about my country as well.

But never mind me...you keep listening to people like Rev and the Bookie. Cut us off from fuel and power. Start a trade war and hell, repeal your charter and just use the Manifesto. Our fuel will cost a little more, maybe a lot more. We'll have to fire up a few of those mothballed nuke plants that the left forced to be closed a few years ago. But we'll manage just fine. While your at it, make sure you write nice letters to the Easter Bunny and Santa, because you really shouldn't live out one fantasy without living with all of them.

What, only read parts of the thread. He came to THIS site to gather his opinion. Hench my response, Wingnut.

Comme il ou pas Wingnut, le Canada est un joueur majeur sur l'étape. Nous faisons partie du G-7. Maintenant qui est l'âne?

Didn't think so. Like I said before, say hi to Eminem for me.

Wingnut @ Mon Dec 29, 2003 1:00 pm

Nice try...

Impose it's will? That's garners no respect and creates all kinds of enemies. If that's your definition then I'm glad Canada is not.

Marlins75 @ Mon Dec 29, 2003 1:08 pm

Btw, before WW2 we weren't a military force either. But when push came to shove, 1.2 million Canadians joined the army. Don't think we're that much of a pushover bubbles, you may have the money(albeit debt) to buy the latest technology, but we have the willpower.
