On a side note, I'm enjoying watching people try to string together elaborate, verbose sentences so as not to come off as a "stupid Conservative".
Got any examples of that?
Two come to mind right off the top of my head: Scrappy's mangling of Latin, and grainfed's tendency to use "exasperate" when he means "exacerbate".

Aren't those two diferrent words?
ex·as·per·ate (ĭg-zăs'pə-rāt')
tr.v., -at·ed, -at·ing, -ates.
To make very angry or impatient; annoy greatly.
To increase the gravity or intensity of: “a scene . . . that exasperates his rose fever and makes him sneeze” (Samuel Beckett).
[Latin exasperāre, exasperāt- : ex-, intensive pref.; see ex– + asperāre, to make rough (from asper, rough).]
exasperatedly ex·as'per·at'ed·ly adv.
exasperater ex·as'per·at'er n.
exasperatingly ex·as'per·at'ing·ly adv.
----------------------------------------------------------------
ex·ac·er·bate (ĭg-zăs'ər-bāt')
tr.v., -bat·ed, -bat·ing, -bates.
To increase the severity, violence, or bitterness of; aggravate: a speech that exacerbated racial tensions; a heavy rainfall that exacerbated the flood problems.
[Latin exacerbāre, exacerbāt- : ex-, intensive pref.; see ex– + acerbāre, to make harsh (from acerbus, harsh).]
exacerbation ex·ac'er·ba'tion n.
So it would depend on what context he used them in, but if the intent of the use is in context, there really is no issue, apart from spelling. No big woop.

Oh come now, you're not going to use the old spelling burn are you. I think one of the most prominent liberals here, Trevor, is one of the worst spellers of all.
Fair enough - just two small examples that Bear asked for.
A better case might be MCB who digs stuff up on the net and then starts mightily paraphrasin', but in any case I don't buy the idea that the uni-educated are all liberal and blue collar guys are all con.

I appreciate the effort, thanx. I also appreciate the disbelief in the academic and blue collar divide.

Neither is better than the other based on just that.
Did I say differently? I am insulted when someone says I don't have academic qualifications when they don't even know me.
Just for my own personal satifaction, would holding 12 welding tickets, a certificate in AutoCad Drafting and Design and a Red Seal, be considered academic qualifications?
Just curious, not that it matters, I'm pretty arogant regardless, lmao.
Of course they do.

Tricks, you fail to grasp that sometimes using generalizations is necessary, because using a single event or person or situation makes no sense.
No? Because it smacks down the generalization.

Your dad's education, some guy you asked about a comment in this thread and a single riding don't mean anything in an argument.
One person off the top of my head (there are more, don't you worry) someone I was talking to on the phone, and my current riding. They were convenient examples, and certainly not the only ones.

I am not typing any differently than I normally do. Again, nice generalization.

The irony is that nowhere did IcedCap imply cons were stupid.
Maybe you didn't read it that way, but clearly other people did.

From what you're posting here (as well as insults you've tossed at people like AVRO based on their supposedly lowly jobs) it's clear that you do look down on people with less education.
LIAR! Show me where I mocked Avro's job. I fucking
DARE you.
I'm waiting Lily. Don't say something then run away. Your sniping got you in trouble this time. In fact, I remember saying that I admired Janitors because they do work that few others would. Hell some of the janitors I knew from school were awesome.

I only have 6 welding tickets, so that would make me (in the eyes of some) a blue collar grunt who votes Conservative.

Does my computer science degree, or my MCSE and MCSA count?
I was raised in a big city, have lived all my life (until recently) in a big city and have always voted Conservative. Maybe I am the exception to the rule.
BOT
I have both Canadian and British passports and see no problem.

Though I won't ever agree with hold dual loyalties, Britain is on the good guy list, so it's easier to take then say... Lebanon.
As for your welding tickets and your other credentials...
That makes you one of the builder class, one of the good guys. You can be in the club, lmao.
Wow. Here I thought this was 5 pages relating to the topic...it really cracks me up how off topic these threads get.

What the FUCK are these assholes pullign on us NOW!?
We have to follow their little passport restriction deal and they get off scot free? WHAT THE HELL KIND OF BULLSHIT IS THIS!?

Americans themselves is probably the best thing ever that could have happened to Canada's tourism industry.
That is true.
Hmm... Okay, My Liberal side posted the bit above the quote there, meaning every bit..
But my Patriotic Nationalist side thinks this could help our economy...
Less Canadians going to the States and investing their money in the American Economy, Because some restrictions and hassles is to much to bother with, but the same Americans coming to Canada and investing in the Canadian Economy.
So other then the fact that I'm furious with the fact that America just seems to love screwing with Canada, this may not be so terribly bad.
Plus, I don't plan to visit the United States, so I really don't have anything to bitch about,

I just want my country not to be shitted like this.
