Actually the post I was referring to was from one our resident flamers. At least RUEZ sometimes has intelligent things to say which add to the conversation. The post I was talking about was one in which hwacker suggested exterminating drug users in a thread about the safe injection site in BC being closed.

   

   

If you're going to put words in my mouth why not use the whole post ?

   

There's no standard being followed in the Moderation of this site - the few mods that are active base their actions purely on personal preference, as a cursory glance at the official list of forum rules would show.

That may have worked when the site was smaller, but it's a significant, recurring issue now.

I don't understand how so much work can be put into the technical aspects of this site, while maintaining a proper Mod ettiquette has been neglected for so long. The moderation is insufficient, period - how many times does this have to come up before something is done?

This isn't an attack on any one Mod, as they've been left to make these decisions on their own, and have had a fairly good track record. Personal discretion is just not good enough anymore.

If the only response to this is, "If you don't like it, leave," then save it - I'm not going anywhere, however I will no longer donate to the site until these matters are addressed.

   

I must have missed some of the more recent developments but I'm not surprised that this has come up again - this issue's been festering for a while.

I agree that "trust us" isn't satisfactory anymore. Mods should provide a brief explanation for their actions - perhaps fill out a little form that could then be viewed in a page accessible to regular members.

A little transparency would go a long way.

   

My confusion stems from the fact that what I posted, directed at someone else I have posted a couple of times in the past with no such deletion. So why is it unacceptable now?

   

Because it was deleted, dumbass, so there's no way of going back and copying it verbatim. All I can do is paraphrase.

   

If you can't add to the discussion why are you posting in it? Grow up. Why don't you go chat with yourself in the chatroom.

   

Well, that certainly added to the constructive dialogue.

I'm not pissed. I know that you support censorship though. You kicked me out of the chat room not because of something I did but because I wouldn't admit to you that I was childish. I don't expect much of an argument against censorship from you.
