Tman, don't be rediculous, he is allowed to say whatever he wishes, just as we are allowed to call him out on it.

Don't worry Indelible, you question the military on here and you will get razzed because you are not in the military thus, you have no intelligible say in anything...according to them. Say what you want, when you want about the military. This is a free country and a free forum of ideas. Not a military dictatorship, damn, the very thing they fight to prevent.

How is that ridiculous? I just said he's allowed to say anything he wants.....I wasn't aware that what I said didn't extend to military personnel as well...

Indelible Indelible:
hence why i said that there should be more police presence in parks and such places where the memorials are located.
Why would you use a Police force when military personnel would do it willingly? They died in the military, and I think the Military deserves the right to protect their fallen
$1:
if lots of people get mad it's cuz they can't accept a different opinion
I am getting angry because you don't seem to think that fallen soldiers, and memorials to those soldiers, don't deserve to be guarded day and night.

EDIT
For the full text that was here see Tman's response below. I am too embrassed to leave it here.

Did I say that? I just said you can say whatever you wish, but I am allowed to call you a jerk for it at the same time.

What would people do if they came to visit say there dead mother's grave and they saw some jerkoff pissing on it? Would you be a pussy and just stand there while someone did that? These memorials are a gravestone to the dead who fought for people they didn't even know. At the very least they deserve respect from every single Canadian alive. And having a couple soldiers guarding the tomb is a small price to pay compared to what they paid. The fact that people would argue against this is disgusting. In my opinion this is the result of 12 years of liberal rule.

nope, it's the result of reasoning on my behalf

Not fuckin likely, that's the last thing it could be. In my opinion if you can't respect the people that died for your country, you don't even belong here.

Having a problem with someone pissing on our war dead, or hell ANY grave gives me all the reason I need to try and set him straight Tman. I do not and would not need to wear the Queen's cloth to be absolutely sickened by his responses.
I agree but to this person is a young man, somebody who might not be familiar to the military and asked an innocent question - who I might add has been given over to hostile replies - which is unnecessary and unneeded.

I do not have this feeling from 15 years of service. I have it from 25 years of an intense interest in our military history. So you can take yer anti-military BS and spread it to yer heart's content.
I don't have an anti-military BS (ironic that you say that considering what I just wrote, the least of all of other threads I've replied to) but yes, I'll spread it to my hearts content if that's what you want.
Have a nice day.
and you would know, because you've lived with me my whole life
you're a lot like tricks, taking what i said to extreme. pathetic

Yes, that means he can write whatever the hell he wants about the military. Doesn't mean he has to take insults about not knowing much about the military.

When your so vague in what you say we have no choice. Does the memorial deserve to be guarded 24-7 or not?

No, what's pathetic is that you think a small honour guard at a memorial for our fallen soldiers is an unreasonable expense.
