Thats what I figured. I find it funny how they desperately try and paint the conservatives as corrupt yet try and ignore what the liberals did.

They are politicians. Corruption is almost an absolute. After all the talk about how Harper wouldn't accept a MP defecting and the vilification of Belinda for doing so he goes and does the exact same thing even before he's been sworn in. Thats says something. The cons will do everything the Liberals did when they find themselves in the same exact circumstances. Its inevitable.

Agrees, there are people of all parties that are just self serving but the liberals defitely reached a new level of corruption with their government. The conservatives will run a cleaner ship.

The difference is this guy didn't deflect they day of a key vote and he won't be given a nice cabinet position like Belinda. Belinda was bought off, this guy is simply leaving a stinking sinking liberal ship.

Only the worst con apologist can think that. He's reported to be getting a cabinet position and there are no key votes yet so its irrelevant, Your characterization of a sinking ship doesn't match the reality that they got 103 seats, 102 now which is still massive support.

Wow. It's been more than a half hour and still no 'he's an opportunistic whore' comments from the right...smells like hypocrisy. Obviously its okay for someone to defect TO your party, but lord help those who defect away from it, right?

No. I think it has more to do with the fact that it wasn't a women this time....Women are whores and men are non-partisan servants of the country, apparently.....
