those ads your seeing on ontario tv , calling themselves "working families " are really being paid for by big unions trying to infulence the election .
taken from there own website http://www.workingfamilies.ca/
Over four years ago, the Working Families’ Coalition came together with the goal of making voters aware of policies that were threatening the well-being of working families across Ontario.
At the time Mike Harris and Ernie Eves led a revolution and put in place policies for big business and put programs and services that benefited working families at risk.
Excessive tax cuts led to a crisis in education. Strikes were keeping our kids out of school. Sick patients were left waiting endlessly for desperately medical treatment. Health and safety protection was eliminated. Infrastructure went ignored and left to crumble.
But the most devastating consequences of the cuts were tragic. Tainted water killed seven people in Walkerton, we saw diminished protection for workers, demoralizing cuts to social services and fewer teachers, nurses and doctors to deliver high-quality public services.
Cuts, chaos and lack of concern for issues important to working families.
In 2003 the Working Families’ Coalition brought forward and encouraged debate around real issues and helped voters understand the consequences of the policies being debated.
Our job in this election is to remind voters what it was like four years ago, what has changed and what’s at stake for working families.
No spin. Just the facts. You decide.
This is your opportunity to get involved in the debate with others who are just as concerned about issues facing today’s working families.
You can make a difference.

Unions are useless and need to be outlawed. They only protect the lazy ones in society.
but what annoys me that they never identify themselves in the ads on tv.
unions shouldn't be running ads on tv that don't even identify themselves, calling them working families is a direct attempt to mislead viewers into thinking actual families are running these ads.
ah just like http://www.nogunnofuneral.ca/news.aspx?id=64
is that ahole's Attorney General Michael Bryant.
when that little scam comes down he'll wish he was a garbage man.
+
when they put shit like this on there
Handguns are already virtually banned in Canada
False
There are over half a million registered, privately owned handguns in Canada (these aren’t police or customs weapons, they are private handguns), and thousands more being added each year.
Most of these are owned by self-declared target shooters or gun collectors. Anyone who (1) is over 18, (2) passes a safety course and background check, and (3) either has a membership in a gun club OR declares themselves to be a collector, can get a license to buy a handgun.
Sounds like getting a drivers license.
that site is a bug of crap , anyways back to topic i hope the average ontario voter finds out soon who is really running these working family ads.
these unions are so biases and seem to think they have some right to run the country .
Absolutely right on, Hwacker.
Unions are a complete joke. Canada's Union situation is akin to Britain in the 70s. The problem is, they are never hammered in the media, as most media contributors are part of Unions themselves.
There is no need for them anymore. Our labour laws are very strong and very much in favour of the employee.
Some of these Union leader kooks need a reality check.
Well ya know the unions backed McSquinty four-square and he rewarded them bigtime.
The unions are fighting for their life......at least the union leaders.
Harris and his common sense revolution just about destroyed the unionss.
"The government's purpose is to provide services.....not employment"
........Mike Harris
"the government has a responsibility to it's employees."
........ON CUPE union leader on strike
Harris took the educations system away from the teachers unions and put it back with the elected schoolboards and the Education ministry.
