Geesh, are you not carrying anything when you are going to work? Not everyone is using their bike for doing over 50 in the city...

Yes but you said ALWAYS and I was just expanding on that - now youre talking specifics
So you are saying that it is impossible to carry pen and paper with you when you are cycling, because someone in China forgot to sew a pocket to carry a pen in in your trunks?
Lame excuse

(I wonder how many cyclists carry their cellphone with them?

)

Sounds like it started with yelling, THEN there was a minor collision and the biker held on to the car.
The driver of the car did not run after the incident, he pulled over and called 911.
Story isn't showing up for me but some of the blogs are covering it. Has a publication ban been thrown on it that fast?

$1:
Witnesses told police the cyclist collided with a black Saab on Bloor St. W., at Bay St. at about 9:45 p.m.
Dozens of witnesses couldn't believe what they were seeing as the cyclist hung onto the driver's side of the car with its convertible top down and the driver yelling at him to get off the car.
In a bid to shake the cyclist off the car, the driver veered onto the eastbound lanes and mounted the curb brushing against trees and poles, a witness said.
"He was driving on the wrong side of the street and up on the curb trying to knock him off the car for about 100 metres. Lots of people were watching and they couldn't believe what was happening," said Ryan Brazeau, a worker with a crew laying sewer pipes down the middle of Bloor St.
As the car approached Avenue Rd., the cyclist fell off and was run over by the rear wheels of the car.
If that's the case, it's crazy dangerous an dthe guy needs to get charged.

Sounds like there may be more to the story...
I agree. It sounds like there was a confrontation and the cyclist was hanging onto Bryants convertible.
There have been an increasing amount of cyclist vs car driver road rage incidents in Toronto. I'm not picking a side here but there are growing numbers of very militant and agressive cylists out there willing to fight people to prove a point.

And ya never know, this guy could have been one of that very small group that seems to think the rules of the road don't apply to bikes, for some reason.

That would be the most stupid thing to do...
ALWAYS bring pen and paper with you to write down license plate numbers...

theres a new trend toward helmet cameras. Video evidence is admissable in court.
But, in general, it's providing a ton of video for youtubers that shows how retarded motorists can be.
Bryant may have forgotten that bike riders have skin and bone to protect them and he had a big fuck-off convertible to protect him instead.
Still, I bet the cyclist was being a dick, he still doesn't deserve to die for it though eh? And I know you are not advocating that Public.

Oh hell no. Not in the least. Even IF he was the kind of cyclist I mentioned, he still doesn't deserve to fall into the "Oh well, he deserved to die anyway" category.

Not to mention how moronic the some cocksuckers on their little bicycles
can be....
are you carrying an agenda ?
lets assume that I have an agenda.
What do you perceive it to be?

Cyclists, as well as pedestrians and bikers, should realize they never will win from a car... Defense, not offense, is the only way to go if you want to survive...

Whatever. Drunken driving convictions are up 37%. Hit-and-runs are up 21%. Texting. Talking on the phone. Street racers....etc. etc.
There are certainly a number of mouthy jerks on thier 'little bicycles' but there's little doubt in my mind between the two groups who doesn't 'deserve' to be on the road. Someone just wake me up when a drunken cyclist plows through 5 cars sending 5 people to critical condition.

Yep and ironically, it's the motorcyclists that many drivers have a problem with and yet they are generally more respectful of the rules of the road.
And before I get individual stories about this idiot biker and that idiot biker, I said
generally
