So can we say because Bush went and so did a few other American politicians. that he told Harper to stay home...? maybe he was embarrassed like the rest of us to be seen in public with him

Ok, I will admit that I did not read through the entire thread, but what is such the big deal with Harper not attending?
It's not like China will attack Canada anytime soon. Hey, we got petrol now, so they can keep their cheap ass toys for themselves. 
Plus, it's not like that China is not a major beer producer, So I could care less.
