Harper's anti-China nonsense has cost BC millions in damage control. Perhaps we should nominate Gordon Campbell to run at the next Tory leadership convention. He seemed quite capable of handling things without offending the Chinese!

A condemnation from someone like Jean Chretien, dat liddle dick-tater from Shawinigan and the most crooked PM in Canadian history, is the next best thing to getting a compliment from a person of good quality. It's just another positive karmic point for Harper in the great scheme of things.

This is one of the things Harper has done that I agree with 100%.

What happened to all the tought talk about boycotting the olympics all together? Now we have people bitching that he skipped the opening ceremonies!

If the athletes had boycotted, then yes, Harper would have done well to stay home. As it is, the athletes went, and he should support them by going, even if just for some of the events.

So your quite ok with the occupation of Tibet, Chinese arms in Darfur, worker re-education camps making happy meal toys?
Add in 500 coal powered power stations pumping out shite and warming the globe and the highest execution rate in the world, oh I forgot the 'no free press' bit and internet censorship, falun gong.......

But besides that the Chinese are ok?
