Firearms Registry Has Failed in Its Primary Goals

Gerry are you trying to say gun registry is working?
Not entirely...penalty's for non compliance are far too lenient.
Are you talking about non-compliant guns in the hands of criminals or law abiding citizens that are the problem?
both
GerryHurt GerryHurt:
I didn't realize that CANADA'S long gun registry applies to the united sl)ts of america. SO tell me....why would I, or any other Canadian, be trying to take away your precious weapons.
Because every time an asstard gungrabber like yourself is faced with the abject failures of gun control schemes in Canada you NEVER once concede that the problem is with your idiotic social engineeering schemes, oh no, you blame criminal possession of guns in Toronto on the availability of guns in the USA and you agitate to take away our guns.
GerryHurt GerryHurt:
Especially since you all seem to think you need them to protect yourselves from....... the boogyman?
Nope, not the boogeyman, just people like
you.
GerryHurt GerryHurt:
SO....since I am NOT an american....I don't give a rats ass what your moronic founding fathers enshrined in shit!
That's too bad. The people who founded my country believed that the people should be able to trust their government and that the question of whether or not the government trusted
them was irrelevant.
Canadians are not trusted by their own government to defend themselves.
Imagine that. Your own government doesn't trust you.
You're not even allowed to
own property so I suppose it follows that the rights once afforded to English peasants should not be afforded to mere
serfs.

See stratos....I'm NOT an american....I see no reason whatso ever for anyone to NEED an unregistered log gun or hand gun for that matter. I see no reason for the average citizen to require a hand gun, and unless you have a hunting license....you don't need a long gun either. Period.
What about a law abiding citizens right? Just because criminals use guns doesn't mean law abiding citizens should have their rights stripped from them.
Criminals use cars too. Should we ban cars also?
The question isn't whether
you see the need for anyone to own/use a gun but
why should people who do see the need be denied?
I support a great deal of things that I don't personally partake in and gun ownership/usage is one of them.
In my life I don't feel I need one and I don't pursue hobbies associated with them but I don't see why others can't?
Gun bans won't stop crime or even minimize it. Gun control only deprives freedom to responsible citizens. I hope we don't ban the things you enjoy.

What a crock of shit....ROFLMAO.... The united sl)ts of america citizens need guns to protect themselves against people like me? Pacifists that don't believe in war or the need for personal ownership of weapons? That's fucking rich...... I'd always thought you americans were really bullies and cowards.... you have now confirmed that.
Obviously you DON'T trust your government...I have heard over and over again that "the people" NEED the guns to protect themselves against the government...just in case.

I can think of many reason to have a rifle. Home protection, target practice, protection from wild animals while hiking, hunting.
You did notice what I said about a hunting license....right? Otherwise...... we live in Canada, NOT some 3rd world country ....wedon't NEED a fucking gun for "protection".
Gee Gerry maybe you should read the following....posted by a friend of yours.

In 2005 there were 658 people murdered in Canada.
That's 658 people who NEEDED a
fucking gun for "protection".
I take it back....you are stupid.
in 2005..... 16,692 people were murdered in the united states. If we take into consideration that the u.s. has 10X the population of Canada, that is still over twice the murder ate of Canada. Seems you having access to weapons didn't help any.

How many of those people murdered had a weapon? Lets find that stat shall we?
I sure as hell hope that weapon was registered properly.

When barty boy supply's that stat...I will search for the same to compare.
In a free and just society - given reasonable assurances that a person will not become a danger to themselves or others - 'I want to' is a perfectly valid reason for doing or owning anything. This applies to everything from wanting to hold a gay pride parade to wanting to own a gun.
I have no violent mental disorders. I have no criminal record or history of violence. I have no *speeding* tickets. I want to own a gun.

You did read what I wrote...right? Obviously not...I'll highlite the obvious for you.....
and my TV and computer can't be used to kill someone, nor can it be stolen and used to kill someone. So how about we compare apples to apples....I know that's a concept you conservitards never learned.... proven by the fact that little boys like you....and older "boys" like barty...... keep trying to compare apples and oranges.

Then there is no defensible reason why you, as a free person, should not.
You are no more and no less trustworthy with a firearm than a police officer or a military officer would be.

Really? A Computer can be used to hack into other people's computers and ruin their lives. You don't need a car either, so I guess that's gone right? Cause that can definitely kill people. Hmmm what else? Do you golf? How about baseball? Own a steak knife? News flash retard, just about anything can kill or hurt someone. Get used to it.
