See stratos....I'm NOT an american....I see no reason whatso ever for anyone to NEED an unregistered log gun or hand gun for that matter. I see no reason for the average citizen to require a hand gun, and unless you have a hunting license....you don't need a long gun either. Period.

Why not? You don't need a TV. You don't NEED a computer, so we won't see you on here any more right?

and my TV and computer can't be used to kill someone, nor can it be stolen and used to kill someone. Really? A Computer can be used to hack into other people's computers and ruin their lives. You don't need a car either, so I guess that's gone right? Cause that can definitely kill people. So its not the fact that gun registry is or is not working that has your panties in a wad its the fact that the penelties are not strong enough in your oppinion?

Because the artical does say that registry has had ZERO effect on the murder rate.

Thus gun registry is NOT stopping murders so your whole argument of stronger laws will is ineffective at best.

I can think of many reason to have a rifle. Home protection, target practice, protection from wild animals while hiking, hunting.

You did notice what I said about a hunting license....right? Otherwise...... we live in Canada, NOT some 3rd world country ....wedon't NEED a fucking gun for "protection".

I wonder if that young Canadian girl who was murdered and her attacker only got 16yrs would feel the same way. Wait we cant ask her she's dead I suspect she would have loved to have a gun when the POS attacked her.

You're assuming that my support for the gun registery is to cut down on some crime figures....it is not. I have already stated my opinion in regards to weapons.

Yes you dont want anyone to have them. I wonder if its because of your way of talking to people you insist on being insulting to just about everyone here. I truly wonder if you were face to face with these same people you would insult them so much. But wait you just might as long as you KNOW they dont have a weapon but still it would not keep you from getting your rear end kicked in if you mouthed off to someone. IF they were realy upset with you they might just bash your brains in real good. At that point I'm beting you would wish you had a gun with you then.

well gerry...i dont know how to tell you this but ive got 2 rifles,2 shotguns and 2 handguns...and i DONT have a hunting license...actually ive never hunted or shot animal in my whole entire life(with the exception of my dog when he was too old and sick to go on)..in fact i'm a vegetarian...is that whacked or what??

and the reason you have them is..................

in all honesty gerry my fascination with guns originated from inheriting my grandfathers guns(a 1900 remington double-barrel 12 gauge shotgun as well as his 1895 remington o/u derringer..even though he died in 1950 my dad got them and gave them to me when i was 12 years old and it just kind of took off from there and started a collection..my only guns that dont fall into the collector category are my glock(which i use for target practice and my remington 12 gauge 870 pump)...my other collectible guns are my russian sks and my korean war M1 carbine...and even though i could never shoot an animal just for kicks or sport i just love to shoot..its a harmless outlet considering i do apply proper gun protocol..and believe me..you are thoroughly screened when youre trying to buy a handgun..unfortunately some ppl do pass the scrutiny...they snap(like that last screwball who went on the shooting spree in quebec)..but i believe in previous posts you expressed concern about handguns being stolen...rest assured it wont happen to me..it may not be a hobby you approve of but lets face the reality..the govt dictating to us what we can have for hobbies is most unacceptable...have you even shot a gun in your entire life? try it..you just may enjoy it..so i'll conclude this by suggesting to you to perhaps reconsider your being so judgemental in this matter
