Gas prices rising, along with anger

Long gone are the days when a litre of gas would only demand 90 cents or so from your thinning wallet. With gas prices climbing, drivers are praying for someone to hit the brakes on the escalating numbers.

The Canadian Press reports in the foreseeable future - this summer - Canada's national average gas price will top $1.40 a litre, totalling $80 for a full tank for most drivers. What's more is that by 2012, Canadians can expect to fork out $2.25 per litre, which will drive motorists up the wall after paying $135 to fill 'er up.

Again, just keep in mind that things could always be worse. Remember that and a gas attendant may be spared dirty looks or a tongue lashing over something he has no control over. Your sanity may thank you as well. :(

I stopped looking about a month ago. I just close my eyes and hold out my wallet now. I think it's about 1.19 here in Calgary but I might be off by a few cents on that.

$1.29.9 ....and that is why i walk everywhere and only use the car for absolute neccessity...like work on the weekend when the bus doesnt run early enough. Until the government endorses alternate fuels, enjoy paying the money.

Filled up yesterday outside the city of Chicago @ $3.71 a gallon. Cost was $56.00 for 15 gallons. Got back home in the city and the corner gas station was $4.09 a gallon for unleaded. 10 and 20 cents more for the plus and premium respectively.

That works out 56.7L @ say $1.29 = 73.14CDN

If you want the price of gas to go down, stop driving your car. Do not drive ever again.
