Page interrupts throne speech

Hey, she looks damn hot. I understand that you are in a firm and committed relationship with your right hand but you'd have to be dead, gay, or an Alouettes fan not to find her attractive.

People making a big deal about someone holding a sign up for 20 seconds without disrupting anything are morons.
She disrupted a throne speech and exercised not only very poor judgement but a dizzying lack of respect for our democratic institution.
Furthermore, evoking the Arab Spring when talking about the Canadian government demonstrates she's also a fucking idiot.
The article specifically says that there was no disruption.

You believe everything you read... or conveniantly agree with?
After a show like that, I would not even touch that with a 10 foot pole.
Although, there are a few nice Conservative elected. Now that is so much more attractive.

Just as I thought, gay.

Despite the protest, Gov. Gen. David Johnson didn't stop reading and the speech was not interrupted.
What reason would I have to believe otherwise?
Eve Adams is decent and am searching for more.
Hold on mofo, the CPC site is not giving out many pictures.

Yeah... conveniantly agreed with.
Good on Johnson showing some class when the page didn't.

Proroguing parliament for 3 months. That's a disruption. One kid with a sign? Not so much.
Taseko @ Fri Jun 03, 2011 9:18 pm
A brave young woman. I suspect there isn't many conservatives who would have the guts to do what she did.
I'd like to think she will be just the thin edge of the wedge.
Mr. Harper is not good for Canada.

Exactly, it's not so much. A dumb stunt. She's aiming low.
‘Stop Harper’ placard gets Senate page turfed from Throne Speech
$1:
Brigette DePape, from Manitoba, has been working in the Senate for a year.
...
“Extreme circumstances call for extreme measures,” Ms. DePape said in an interview. “I think that everywhere is the right place to resist the Harper government.”
ShepherdsDog ShepherdsDog:
wonder who will offer her a job?
Little Ceasers Pizza.
She's perfect for them, already trained at holding a sign that makes no sense.

Welcome to the next four years of the Official Opposition, NDP-style. Nothing but juvenile college-level brattishness and hyper-self-righteouness, performed equally by their MP's, their aides, and whatever other goofball supporters and 'activists' they have tucked away.
I can't believe I'm saying this but I miss the Liberals already. The NDP and their lackeys are going to prove themselves to be the absolute nadir as far as Opposition standards and decorum are concerned.
Did the NDP put her up to this? I didn't see that part.

It is sad to hear you say that so soon after the election. What a stupid ass stunt to pull when Commons is in session let alone the Throne speech and what makes it worse is that this is a page not some JO crashing commons. It may be a long four years.
Good. Take one of Thanos' anti-dipper Beckian ravings as gospel...

Since when have you been such a lefty? This is the way the Canadian left, and the NDP, have behaved since the 1960's. This is just the start of how they're going to act over the next four years. Stupid, obnoxious stunts from brats that never leave college and they don't need me to prove it for them because they've already started proving it themselves. You want fun with the NDP? Wait for when their MP's start showing up for pro-Hamas/Hezbollah/Tamil Tigers events. Their caucus is now riddled like a chunk of rotten bread with the very worst of Quebec gutter Marxists and separatists, and these are the exact sort of causes they'll start flocking to in droves.
Today merely proved, once again, that because they 'care' so much more about things than the rest of us do that they have no time for decorum or basic politeness. It's just going to get even worse from them as the next four years go by.
