Having never played the game at the time I feel this is the superior version.
^^ the same team that made Expeditions : Rome (Fantastic btw). Jagged alliance was made in Canada by Sirtech and was the 1st game I can recall that had the FN-C1 accurately scaled in game.
Anyone looking to pick this up, been on my radar for a while:
Steam spring sale is on. Picked up Rome 2 and Medieval total war 2. Both are among the best of the series. I had medieval on CD but lost it so adding it to the library was a no brainer. Ahh the screams...
Steam will drop support for Windows 7 and Windows 8 on January 1st, 2024
So, since you can't buy Windows 10 as of the end of this month (but you may be able to use Windows 11 codes to activate it), and Windows 11 does not support older hardware, you will need a total upgrade to keep Steam running.
Steam also runs well in Linux.
This is a huge game with a ton of content. Reminds me of Silent Service meets Harpoon in the air and sprinkle in Jupiter lander with nukes. The game is dynamic, no two plays will be the same and the diplomacy aspect really ups the depth as well. Meanwhile, just as in FTL you are being chased down by a superior fleet and not just one but many but you can beat them if you plan your ambush correctly.
I was amazed they could get Rome and Medieval 2 on the iphone/ipad. It runs hot, large battles are cumbersome to manage and there are no mods. Stainless Steel 6.4 on PC still is the superior product but this is by far the best strategy game you can get for mobile.
I have seen 'gaming' phones that are far better than entry level laptops, but they are $3k - $4.
