Well gee Lily I do.....NEXT!!!!!!!!!

Then you have a say - the equivalent to one vote - as to whether your city has one. You can't tell anyone else they shouldn't have them... which is what you're doing here.

Thank you Lily you walked right into it. So because i have an opposing view I have one vote and no right to voice an opinion. On the other hand You are Jetboy are a mere two votes, two voices and have the right to voice an opinion on the pro side. How very ummmm what was that word... uncon stitutional... of you. Oh my yes I am the facist one here. I have no idea how thankful I right now, that I am in fact Canadian and don't have to concern myself with the parallel universe you two seem to exist one.

Well, that seems kinda hard if you live on main street, where the parade is going through, isn't it? And when you come home, from your weekend away your windows are shattered, and they pissed against your walls...

Do you live on main street? How long have you lived there? Did you know it was a parade route when you bought the place? Not just the pride parades - most every parade uses the same route, y'know.

Shattered windows and pissed on walls - I had no idea those went part and parcel with gay folk.

Are you gay?

You are constantly making things personal, aren't you?

You ask me if I'm gay and then tell me I'm making things personal?

all righty then.

I said if you don't like the parades don't go, so you bring up those who live on main street.

I'm shaking my head here, trying to think how to respond.

you're twisting again, lily! she asked you if you were gay to demosntrate you how you brought things to personal! and you did so asking if Bren lived on main street herself!

I will probably ask Fat to design a special master-twister medal for you! ;)

You made it personal by asking me where I live... Is the question to you about being gay anything else? I can play your game too, y'know

anti-gay-pride-parade is equal to being a fascist? wow! this "modern" meaning of the word "fascist" must have been born in your inflamed brain, Jetboy!

Not in itself, no. It's all the other crap that I explained more than once now, ie., telling people how not to dress or act when it's none of her concern. Learn to read and comprehend.

it IS of her concern when you expose youself close to nudity and make a show outta it in the streets. She explained it to you.
Yet fascism has nothing to do with simple derss code rules.

According to JetBoy, gay parades aren't like that...

I guess that is only the one in the city he lives in then ;-)

I asked her if she lived on Main Street because she seemed to want to speak for all those people who do. She's trying to make a point that the parades shouldn't be held because some of the people who liveon the parade route might not want to see it.

why are YOU trying to speak for all those gay folks who want to make parades?..... unless you're...... gay yourself?

it's really not difficult to play your game, as Bren said, but it's rather boring and litter into the thread IMHO

Like banging your head on a brick wall. When my tax dollars are paying for it, YES it is very much my concern! Are you even aware of your rights as a Canadian? Lily to answer your question, yes it is held in an area that is densly populated with children. Oh but of course it isn't held in the wealthy South end of the city.

Ohohohohooooooo! i highly doubt all those tourists who come precisely for the gay parades to a country would do so, if the folks would marsh all wearing casual clothes and simly saying smth like "we are gay but please treat us as equals!" in a moderate manner! LOL

Why not have the parades in an area where people don't live? Why can't I have a problem with them, just of their existance? Why am I supposed to like them just because they exist?

I couldn't care less where you live. I was only showing that your comment was irrelevant.

I couldn't care less whether you are gay or not. Don't make it personal. You did by asking me that question. You are standing up for these parades. Why?

kaetz @ Wed Aug 15, 2007 2:56 am

My opinion is that those that want to go see the parade should be able to and those that don't can do something else that day.

AMEN to this!

move them away from the populated area! period.
no matter if Bren lives in the main street or not!

And I already explained pride parades aren't really like that. So out of half a million people, maybe two of them are naked? She's painting everyone with the same broad brush and that's what's BS.

Don't make me start posting photos of gay pride two weekends ago with seas of fully-dressed people. Nova might not like them because some of them are dressed funny, like clowns as he complains, but an overwhelming majority cover their genitals, nonetheless.

Get over it.

Brick wall indeed. I already explained your tax dollars don't pay for it because it makes more money than it costs. What part of that don't you understand?
