In other words, tit-for-tat, quid pro quo, live and let live, etc. Fairly simple; we don't ask them to change to us, and they don't ask us to change to them.

WTF has changed? Beside the fact if you taunt a co-worker with "Paki" you'll get fired and not him?
The neighborhood I grew up in is now 80% Asian, but non of the other euro-descended people moved because they moved in, none were forced out because of them. They all sold their houses and moved out the Valley cuz they had boatloads of dough and we got bigger houses!
My parents grew up and were friends with people of Chinese, Japanese, Black, Italian, Polish, NAtive descent before and during WW2 for chrissakes and thought nothing of it.
And don't make me pick between roast beef and Yorkshire and butter chicken, or a dumpling or a gou tie (potsticker) cuz the honkey in me just rebels against cuisine that thinks salt and lard are spices....
Really, I'm almost 50% Scot, but those kilts, flings and Highland dancing shit is every bit as silly as Bollywood dances and Ukranian outfits.
Go to weddings, it's all the same. Funny ethnic outfits, everyone eats, someone gets drunk and fights.. no real difference.
Go to the church/temple for some function, there's some kind of preacher, some kind of ritual, some kind of prayer and song, some kind of prophet and a different name for God. Translate it and its the same gibberish you heard growing up Anglican but doesn't put you to sleep...
And I had to laugh about "The Metric System" back on page 2... God haven't you fucking mutants died out yet? The rest of us have TEN fingers and TEN toes, not twelve. And no threes, sixteens, 5,280s of anything. Go to a freaking Doctor and get those extra appendages chopped off and join the normal world. Only the stupid Yanks cling to the old stuff, and it wasn't even compatible with the rest of the world's old stuff, fucking midget gallons. Can't you see Hidden Protectionism when it stares you in the face?

Diefenbaker was the worst, he was a mean spirited little man with not much for a brain. The problem with Pierre, is that he was too far ahead of his time, and likely one if not the best we had.
Lyin' Brian, was not much either, he sold us out but he wasn't the worst
I don't know of any Conservative Prime Ministers that were good, as the concept of the Tories is not in keeping with my belief system.
The world is changing and conservatives do not believe in change they want things to remain the same.

Conservatives do tend to very resistant to change and are very set in their ways and are traditionalists, but there really isns't anything inherently wrong with that...
