BC Parents Will Have to Lie to Keep Kids out of Gay Advocacy
lily lily:
Why would they need a turkey baster? They may prefer sex with their own "kind" but that doesn't mean that gay people, both men and women, haven't ever married and had kids the old fashioned way.
Yeah, fine, but so what?
Look, if you want to explain the existence of homosexuality by supposing that every gay person is either the recessive gene output of a gay parent produced in either that parent's prior life as a heterosexual, or by some surreptitious fertilization that secretly impregnated women with homosexual children, and that you can explain all of homosexuality by these far-fetched means back through the ages, fine.
But you'd be alone in the universe with that theory.
Left or right handed teachers don't bother me, A gay teacher pushing his view of whats right in his eyes makes me sick.
lily lily:
Who the hell cares whether it's genetic or some other cause?
So, you're abandoning your position, eh?
Wise move.

I could swear you said earlier you went to Catholic school... they didn't push their views of what they felt was right?
But... you're fine with gay teachers in general then?
No i said i don't like them ...................
+ I’m not going to school anymore and my kids go to private school with no confused teachers.

Oh I think "Who the hell cares" has been Lily's position all along. Like me. I just wonder that so many that don't "approve" of gays spend so much time thinking about them.

Geneticists don't take that approach anyway, because they're used to traits that behave in quirky ways. Take sickle-cell anemia. It usually kills the people who have it, so why would it keep showing up in one generation after the next? Why does it exist at all?
It exists because most people with the gene are carriers, and never get the disease -- it's recessive. And carriers are resistant to malaria, which is common in the areas where you find sickle-cell anemia, so it's a survival trait.
Any genetic tendencies towards homosexuality could be transmitted in the same way. That would explain the observation, for example, that identical twins tend to have similar sexual preferences more often than fraternal twins.
But, again, no proof of genetic origin, just evidence that genetics may play a role.

And before you knew it, there was no one left to teach, and all the humans became nothing more than talking animals. Unfortunately, since knowledge ceased to have any meaning, no one could teach them the problems with inbreeding, and they became so confused that they all began fucking their families and soon became so genetically broken that they all died off.
The end.
I find it hard to believe that there are no white, christian, straight, conservative teachers.

Perhaps identical twins are more likely to be raised alike...but that's not really the issue.
You can clearly have recessive traits. That came up before you showed up here.
Which would mean that two gay-recessives give birth to a full gay, but then the full gay would have to reproduce. Somehow. Or the trait would eventually disappear.
Recessive traits for eye-color manage to survive because of the very high reproduction rates of recessive-traited people.
But when the trait is itself associated with an extremely low reproduction rate, then the odds of perpetuation become very high against.
If you want to argue that turd-packing is a survival trait, go right ahead.
Look, the short and sweet of it is this. There is a commonly accepted unsubstantiated rumor that homosexuality is genetic. There's no proof of this at all.
Politically, people have adopted this position because they want to make homosexuality invulnerable to criticism. "It's just genetics, dude, there's nothing we can do."
Of course, by doing this, the people who have adopted this position have also undercut their own cause. If it's only genetic, we can screen for it and eliminate it. If it's only genetic, then pleas for understanding are meaningless. If its only genetic, then it's not something that can fight for dignity and self-respect, it's just a condition.

IceOwl IceOwl:
The fact that genetic disorders like sickle-cell anemia live on probably has to do with the fact that the people who have it probably breed before they die, just like everyone else that has children.
Some did, others didn't. First symptoms can occur in infancy, and when untreated it often hit kids hard enough that they would grow abnormally slowly, and puberty would be delayed. The sickle cells would damage their spleens, leaving them extremely vulnerable to many sorts of infections -- a normal childhood illness might be life-threatening.
So some definitely did pass the gene along in the usual way, but, until there were antibiotics and effective treatments, many never got the chance.
