There have been a few attacks on East Indian women here lately so it's very much in the news right now. I'm glad they are doing something about it, like holding open information forums, etc.

Another reason why I think this world would be a better place without organized religion of all kinds. There is too much room for Hucksters and frauds like Falwell (among the many others) who prey on the weak and steal their money, and the fanaticals who kill in the name of a "god".

What you fail to realize in your pea-sized brain... is the fact that this kind of shit happens ever day on the street of America, and all over the world. For some reason, we shudder when we see a stoning, yet people are getting raped, mugged, shot, car-jacked, etc, etc, in our "civilized" western society every day... and that's ok?

Killing is killing.... whether you use a rock, or a 9 MM that you can buy off any street corner or 7-11 in the US.

This isn't a Muslim thing... it's a religious thing. For the same reason that I abhor this kind of brutal violence, I abhor the senseless brutal violence that the US military has wreaked on the innocent people in the ME.

How many tears have you shed for the 650,000+ Iraqi's that have died so far in this occupation?

The Bush administration has been strategic in ensuring that the weak-minded (and easily led) Christian bible-thumpers continue to bang on the war drums... with visions of the apocolypse, and this rediculous "clash of civilizations" propoganda to keep the fear hype real.

Doesn't speak too highly for the intelligence level of the Christian hypocrites... since they would appear to be the most suseptible to the brain conditioning of the mass media and the messages/language that has been used to sell these wars... and they would appear to be the last of the remaining base of support for the Bush administration.

I guess that proves what "faith" is all about..... blind trust, throwing common sense, logic and reason out the window.

Its not ok and we have laws against such behavior not laws allowing such acts. In the case your bringing up the people there have laws allowing them to stone a girl to death.

True but then killing and murder are two different things at least in a western society. Many eastern societies seem not to think so and thus the stoning incident.
