Hmm, In America innocent people have spent 20 years on death row for a crime they did not commit.
In America, people have been executed for a crime they did not commit (spelled black people)
Only in America can a governor (moron bush) say, if one innocent person is executed while 99 guilty ones are, than it is worth it

Strangely, we don't have that in Britain. We used to have it from the tuen of the century to around the 1950s when it was known as Empire Day, but nowadays most people in Britain have never heard of Victoria Day.
It seems that, in this way, Canadians do more to celebrate the British Empire than the British themselves.

The left is so fanaticly against christians, because they fear that the religious voting patterns that put Reagan in power. Considering programs like this, the left is driving Christians away.

We've still got Empire days here in beautiful downtown Nanaimo, with the parade and all. Unfortunately there has been alot of flack in the past couple of years by minority groups complaining about still calling it Empire Days. Personally I don't think the name has anything to do with it nor their dislike of the British Empire. I firmly believe it stems from the fact that some of these minorities whine like gutshot dogs when their agenda isn't placed at the fore front of everything in Canada.
Well to friggin bad for the minorities. If you go across the straight to Vancouver and Surrey they celebrate all the East Indian and Chinese Holy days with special Parades and such, well good for them, but god forbid a white Canadian wants to celebrate his heritage, then it becomes a whole racist issue. These people seem to forget, that in Canada you don't have to attend the celebration if you don't agree with it.
I'm all for cultural diversity, but when it comes to trying to denegrate one culture while promoting your own, it makes a person wonder why the hell some of them ever emigrated to Canada in the first place.

Absolutely correct. It would seem after years of so called enlightened leadership and schooling, a large segment of Canadian society has become door mats for any special intererst group that wants to promote it's agenda or dogma. It's a sad state of affairs when the majority is dictated to by the minority, all in the interests of so called equality.
Fortunately, it would appear that the pendulum is swinging the other way. The silent majority is getting sick and tired of being dictated to and lorded over by a small group of left wing apologists, who see promoting "any" minorities agenda, no matter how destructive it is to society, as a part of their quest for equality and fairness. I give it another 20 years and it'll be, if you can't, won't or don't want to assimilate into Canadian Society stay the fuck out of our country or if you're already here move and find another country that offers your twisted vision of utopia.
