I have been feeling poorly lately but on the road to recovery. While relaxing I had some random thoughts I will share with you. I once had a 6th grade teacher from the Bronx who had the class write stories based on ending sentences. An interesting guy originally from Genoa, Italy. He was also the school principal and a sex pervert but that is another story. He certainly believed in exposure and experimentation, twisted stories and legends.
One attribute he had was he had respect for older people with dementia. He often strove to help the person to retain their feelings of selfworth. Sometimes he was too flexible and chatty. He was always on about grafitti, noise, litter, pollution and traffic. Potholes got a pass? Go figure.

I don't believe a word of it.

Did I ever tell you that I'm a 94 year old man in Corpus Christie, Texas; that my grand-nephew got me this account; that I was married to Pauline Chase in 1937; that my kid is dead but that I expect to meet him again very soon?

Istanbul @ Sat Dec 03, 2005 1:40 pm

Interesting. I knew a Pauline Chase once. Delightful young lady. I believe she joined St. Bridget's Convent after college. I had designs on her myself despite the 30 year age difference.

A sweet smile with a yes or no would be appropriate.

Mentioning sane and insanity I feel for that poor old man Murtha. We need to offer him understanding and compassion. Maybe an old Vietnam war nightmare coming home to roost.

My goodness you are a pugnacious angry young man. Why must I drop dead? No I am not banned. Why would I be? GOD'S WORD is in the New Testament. Maybe read chapter 23.

I can't figure out why "Ms. Trust-is-Everything" is sticking up for the biggest liar on the website.

Doubtless. My error.

Istanbul: Confine it to the "Poems/Writings" forum.

Now, now people....

Just because we have had an interseting experience with a poster does not make everyone guilty by association or posting style.

Welcome aboard Istanbul...

Until and unless Istanbul shows himself to be anyone other than who he says he is, there's no reason to distrust him.

Yet.

Already has. Re-read the posts.
