Well, Dfss you've just spouted as much hatred as I can handle for a lifetime. I live in Surrey. I work in Surrey. I've not seen this "problem" of which you speak.

You've also just spouted what every white person spouts when there's an influx of foreigners. It happened with the Italians, it happend with the Irish, it happened with the Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Hispanics.


Blanket comments about a race of people based on interactions with some is a terrible terrible habit that you should avoid. Just like there are greasy haired, gapped tooth, marrying your sister white people, there are going to be bad other coloured people. Too bad you can't see past your own perceived superiority to understand, relate, or at the least tolerate. Maybe if you came from a country where you were likely only going to make $20.00 a month to support your family, THEN your opinion on the state of foreigners like them might count. But then again, probably not.

Future reference, please don't refer to ANY group of people with derogatory terms. Use your brain, call them by name. Stop being a pratt.

   

I work for an east Indian and not a nicer man you will find. He never has anything bad to say about anything or anyone. I dont a goddamm thing about a lot of things but I do know racism. And I get very upset when I see people run down a race. mind you I got pissed off at a oriental yesterday. He stopped his car in the middle of the road to use his windshield washer. But that is just a minor inconvenience.
Twila I read there was a brutal murder in Surrey this week had something to do a gang of kids swarming a east Indian what was that about?
To me racism is like homophobia people are afraid of things that they dont understand. And dont take time to listen. I have two cousins by marriage that is black ( I dont go for political correctness) I have worked with people of all races and all were very great people

... I mean, if you look at history, it has been WHITE people that have caused some of the worst problems in this world... I mean, you'd think by now that there would be a group out lynching white people.. [I'm White too BTW] Are there any anti-white groups out there? Also, Islamic Jihad and those other Middle Eastern groups don't count, they want to kill Western Civilization....

I don't know about organised groups, but try being the only white guy in a group of natives...racism goes both ways.

   

Coming from an area where so called "whites" (I look pink to me) are the minority I have to agree with Rev. Racism runs both ways. It is also used as an excuse/stick to beat you with up here. For example when I managed a motel in High Level (yes it is on the map or at least should be) a drunk native man came to the front desk wanting a room. I refused on the basis that he was drunk as a skunk. He started screaming at me that I was racist. I threw him out on his ear! If you don't give them what they want when they want they scream racism.

   

Ranjit Brar was attacked, stabbed and knifed to death while out walking with his brother and their dogs. The murderers are young. Haven't heard much else. But should hear more once the little shits are caught

   

There are a few such as the New Black Panther Party and MEChA but they seem to be pretty marginal.

Ahenakew touted for key post

To even think of giving this man such a position should be seen as a slap in the face by the whole country!

   

The thing is that Ahenakew did so much for the natives that many are willing to overlook his anti-semitism. I think they are making a huge mistake, but I do understand what they are thinking. He did so much to further native causes in Saskatchewan, knows so many people, and is such an effective spokesman/politician that it would seem that he's a natural for the job. He isn't anymore, and I doubt he ever will again.

The man was a friend of my family's. We were all pretty shocked to find out the depth of his racism, especially since he had eaten meals with our lone Jewish relative and didn't seem to have a problem with it. It is something that never came up before and went unnoticed as a result. I don't see how he can be effective now that his secret is so well known. People have been working really hard to distance themselves from him...not just for political reasons, but because his suddenly expressed views are so distasteful.

This whole thing needs to be re-thought. FSIN is supposed to be working against racism and even thinking of putting Ahenakew forward as a candidate seriously undermines their work.

   

Now what you mean. About a year or so ago during the summer I was talking with my neighbor (forget exactly what the conversation was about) when he said that he thought that I (and people my age) should only marry within our "race" . I would never have guessed from anything he said or did before that he held such views.

   

We should marry within our race...the human race. Have you noticed that if you look at old pictures back when people used to always marry within their race, country, religion and so on that people were just plain old uglier? I'm not talking about scars and premature aging brought on by hard lives, I'm just talking about features in general.

The more likely we are to have kids with people who don't look a lot like us, the more those kids are not be as ugly as their parents.

   

When in history have we not had inter racial relations? If you look at some Russians your going to see some definate Asian (chinese) features. If you look at some West Indians your going to see some African features. If you look at some Irish your going to see some scandinavian features.

You could line people up from whitest of white to blackest of black and you'd be able to line them up so that the change in skin colour and features is barely discernable. We are different in colour only through geographically evolution. Not because of anything else.

We all know what happens when we "stick to our own kind", right? Interbreeding. This is never an acceptable thing unless your breeding for a dog with certain features and don't care that it's stupid and has health problems.

All I can say is "show me a "pure" ethnic group and I'll show that it's not true.
