why does every american i've met hate Canada?????

Im so baffled by all this....and to be honest sick and tired of hearing stupid things about Canadians all the time. For example....if you go to google and type in "why are" one of the first results is "Why are canadians all afraid of the dark?" Like honestly? Enough people have searched that...and actually wondered the answer so much so that its one of googles first results!? THAT IS UTTERLY FREAKING REDICULOUS. yes we are all scared of the dark...in fact...we have created an artificial sun just to keep it bright out all the time..but no worries americans...you can have it when you complete your manifest destiny. Idiots.

I must admit that Canada is off the radar screen for most Americans. But when a Canadian Member of Parliament spews up trash on the U.S., then we hear about it. It would help if our media would report more Canadian stuff. TV channels are surprisingly restricted. I think I get one Canadian channel - CBUT, I think it is called.

Mail service is not good across the border and telephone service can get strange. I think everybody should lighten up and open up the communications channels. I believe the OP is from Toronto... ok. I live across the border from Vancouver. When I visit Vancouver (and they don't happen to be rioting), about the only thing that tells me I am in a foreign country are the snarly border guards. I mean the people are almost indistinguishable from those in Seattle and Portland. I know you try to be different, but well, not really. Of course Canadians, (except the rioters), are really nice.

Politically, Americans are stuck between two extreme parties, the Socialist Dems and the Corporate Thug Republicans. The far left Dems are pretty much beyond repair, their bums are glued to the pavement with epoxy. As scary as the Tea Party seems, it is our best hope. I am thinking of forming a moderate Tea Party, I want to call it the Green Tea Party.

While the Dems are trying to import Mexicans to boost their ranks, perhaps my Green Tea Party can bring in some Canadians to fill the middle ranks? You could have guns here!

By the way Canada and the U.S. are each other's biggest trading partners. So, let's cut the crap and admit that we are blood relatives. Anybody who says they hate Canadians would also hate most Americans and they are probably not to fond of their mothers. They would probably hate their fathers if they know who their fathers were.

That's pretty lame. As we cannot repeat enough, people need scapegoats to blame for their problems. I am American (Mexican Decent), and many Americans (White, Black, Red, & Yellow) don't seem like me or Mexicans (American-Born or self-imported we still look the same and our mere presence seems to irritate everyone--even if we are dressed nice and speak well---believe me I experience it almost everyday).

That's okay, I don't need their approval to exist, to live how I want to live, say what I want to say, or do what I wanna do. For the most part, I think most Canadians I've met are pretty lay back people. The only times I have had problems with Canadians was a debate between (Zip Code and Postal Code) and the letter "Z-E-E" vs "Z-E-D"! (OMG! You guys just don't give up! and I thought Religious wars were were a threat to world peace!)

And by the way, I am not brainwashed by the old and decaying Democrat, Republican, or Tea Party movements. So get your facts straight before calling out fallacies about Democrats Importing Mexicans. They just want to work and eat like anyone else does; yet for some reason there are questionable foreigners that don't speak any English running every 711? And what about a foreign Somalian terrorist who's gets a fair trial? And the terrorists that got caught crossing into the United States back in December of 1999?

'Imported Mexicans' may lack voting wisdom but at least they are voting instead of trying to attack the United States! They are only doing what they think is right and are doing so as per the Constitution to live the 'American Dream' (that they still believe exist). How dare you criticize them? You're not even a United States citizen! Why would you even involve yourself in this mix-up of confusing politics when you have your own country to be concerned with? (Like making good beer and playing hockey!) And why would you want guns to support your copy-cat 'Green' Tea Party force in Canada? Go ahead, I can't wait the see the mockery that awaits you! The U.S. Tea Party are self-absorbed white purist republicans with disturbed Christian values. (Maybe that's on your agenda, but that's your problem, just don't point your guns at me please.)

I am a peace-maker and I didn't vote of Obama, and I didn't vote for Bush either. So who's vote really counts? Definitely not mine! My parents, and many Mexican's 'imported' from Mexico (or other-wise) come here to work. (and they work harder than just about anyone else I've worked with! I still can't stand them, but they do work hard.) Sure there are criminals that leech on to them, but what race of people doesn't have criminals? I did not like the idea of Mexicans voting for Obama or Jerry Brown just because 'Democrats love minorities'. First of all, I am only minor to someone who can out-drink me and that's okay, I don't drink that much anyway but I am up for the challenge! I don't trust Donkey dicks, Elephant trunks, or Tea Party Mad Hatters either.

I think a Social Network Party would work better; in which all the voices of the people combined influences who will govern the world and how policies should be managed, (of course filtering out the irrationality..) but that's just my opinion based on the fact that people get tired, become corrupt, biased (you're either a 1, a 0, or /dev/null), and humans alone cannot multi-task (like a Unix based multi-threaded operating system can.) I still don't hate Canadians, even if some of you think badly of Mexican Americans (and I am American!) and I have found Canadian women to be smart and sexy! -- /Now that's Hot!/
