you people accuse B_C of pushing his religion on others, and you can't see that you're doing the exact same thing.

Two problems with that:

#1. He's a fool.

#2. I'm not pushing anything on him. merely trying to get him to admit that he's wrong where he is wrong, stop trashing other religions, adn that the Bible isn't truth, and that we don't know what'll happen in the afterlife.
I have heard on the News, awhile back, where muslims or taliban literally demolished, destroyed right to the ground the buddhas. Where was the great buddha? Nowhere to be seen, buddha can't even back himself up, what chance do you have, Arctic? You been trashing mine, Arctic. Don't try and play the Victim card here please. Trash mine all you want, It's ok.

What I'm trying to say though - is I'm getting tired of hearing people tell others not to force their beliefs on them, and then make fun of all religions.

Can you not see the irony there?

Yes I can, now tell that to B_C, because he makes fun of every other religion that isn't his own.
Every religion? Don't exagerate, please.

I respect your lack of faith.

Lack of faith????? Who says anyone of us has a lack of FAITH???

I have tones of faith......

Faith that I will get up each morning

Faith that I will get my job done each day

Faith that I will provide for and take care of my family

Faith that I will go to sleep each night

I do not need any book or person to tell me how to get through a day.

I can be sure of one thing and one thing only. When shit hits the fan, I will be the one left standing there to deal with it, me ane me alone. If I am expecting someone or something to deal with it for me then I will be in for a rud awakening.
So what are you saying? God is helpless? A weak God? He likes to help, no different than when your parents want to help you, When you ask for it. Woe to the Man/ woman that does not know how to ask for help when it's required.

The same I am saying. She believes in the only one she can really trust, herself.

No problem with that. Don't try to tell us different, it won't work. Leave us be non-believers, with faith in ourselves, not telling others to believe in us too.

Not everything is for a higher reason, at least, not in my book. No one will be able to get me out of a shithole if I was in, then me. No one else put me there, than me. In my opinion, my life is what I make of it.

It has nothing to do with asking help, it has everything to do with asking whom for help. My ask for help goes to people who I can see, and who can actually BE there. Inner help will come from myself. I make my own discisions, walk my own path in life.

It is a choice not to believe in God, as is it one to believe. Please, respect that. Don't tell me I'm some dimwitt who doesn't know what it is all about. Believing or not believing in your God, doesn't make me better or worse than you.

Pushing a religion through anyones throat does.

One thing is for sure BC , many people including myself whether Christian or not, try , have tried , or continue to try, to understand who God is . The success rate is low and getting lower ...do you blame any of them ? I can take pieces of any Christian bible and see how great those writings are , and even true , while other scriptures are pathetic ...and realisticly BC , so could anyone else .

Faith is only as valuable as its results , tried and tested enough it will be bound to fail .

Ok is this Thread suposed to "end" B_C's rants & pontificating once and for all? GOOD LUCK! I don't think it can be done. Like a Jehova's Witness I think He does this as part of his comitment to his religion.

I only hope some of this sinks in and he comes to the realisation, that when you push your religious point of view on others you end up looking like a tight ass jerk. First people start to slam you. Eventually no one listens and you end up talking to yourself. (have you been noticing that B_C?)

B_C relax, cool it, get a hobby.....no not reading The Bible, an other hobby.

I have faith in myself to achieve anything i want....

I have faith in those around me to support me in those endevours.....If they fail me....

I have faith that I will forgive them for that lack of faith....for whatever I put faith into....

I will achieve...And that is powered by nothing but myself!

lily lily:
That makes no sense.

Believing there is no God is the same as not believing in God.
No it's not the same - As I said, I'd believe in God if there were sufficient reason to.

Let's say that you look up in the sky and say that the sun is actually a chariot of fire and I said that you're wrong. That says nothing about my overall belief in chariots, or what constitutes the sun. I'm not even implying that chariots of fire don't exist - I'm simply refusing your interpretation, based on my own information.

lily lily:
But you're wrong about your first statement - I've got a few good reasons to believe He exists.
Prove I don't. ;)
Without hearing them? That's not how it works. I question the manner in which you judged "good reason".

Science has determined and proven that the sun does not orbit the earth, is a large ball of burning gas, and based on the development of other stars, will swell to the size of a gas giant in about 4 billion years, engulfing most if not all of the solar system within the asteroid belt.

The reason I attacked B_C was at first not becuase of his religious beliefs but because he was asking questions about evolution. So I responded. He is the one who brought religion into it. He claimed that the earth was 10,000 years old, that man co-existed with Dinosaurs. I and others responded with websites that said otherwise. He then said that the internet was bunk and not to be trusted, even though he used an extremly biased creationist website to back up his points. He then proceeded to attack Artic and myself, so we responded in kind. He claimed to have spoken with the big man upstairs about my life and Artic's upbrining, which is total BS. He also refered to my girlfriend as my "mate" which I assume was done to make me feel sub-human and thus less than him.

Lily, I'm sure I didn't and others did not mean to generalize, but if you read through the posts that B_C made, I'm sure you could understand our reactions.

Repost.. I have used a one wrong word. I have actually thouruly researched, analysed. asked plenty of questions before I went all the way with Born-again Christianity. Today it has made good effects on all my family, children. The Bible has very good guidelines that we try to follow. It has lotsa good benefits in it. It has brought order in OUR, OUR lifes, home, before there was disorder. Only one that has walked thru something, knows exactly what has benefited Him.
