BartSimpson BartSimpson:
Ali,
Here are my questions and they are to you alone. I am not asking you to represent the entirety of islam.

1) Do you abide by the call of the koran to impose islam on the entire world?

2) Would it bother you to have to sit with and eat with a Jew? Any Jew.

3) Would it bother you to sit with and eat with someone who was eating pork?

4) If a member of your immediate family chose to become a Christian or even a Jew would you abide by and respect their decision and still care about them?

5) Would you be comfortable working closely with a homosexual?

6) If your local newspaper published images that were meant to repesent mohammed what would your reaction be?

7) Does Israel have a right to exist?

And feel free to ask me questions in return.

I'll answer these in the context of a devout Catholic being asked the same questions.

1) The aim of Catholsism is for all to be either re-united with the Holy Roman Catholic Church, or in the case of non-Christians, to be converted to Catholosism.

2) Jews are responsible for Christ's death.

3) Pork is not a big deal...unless it is Friday, then ALL meat except fish is forbidden.

4) Never, it would be proof that the devil has invaded and poisoned them.

5) Never

6) No problem

7) No.

I dun remember saying, I hate Christians and Jews? In fact, I don't acknowledge anyones religion while talking to them since it doesn't matter what they believe in, its their personal choice, how they choose to communicate with God.
What about those who don`t believe in god?
Bump.

Well, then they don't believe in God then I can only mention the idea, its their obligation whether they believe or not. Everyone is well aware of most religions out there so if that doesn't convince them then I don't think anyone should push upon them something that they already know. If God wants them to see the so called "light" then they shall do so without us having to interfere and rub religion in their faces.
What does Islam say about people who don't believe in god?

ALi is a Muslim, he just answered your question.
Muslims can think of something other then their religion...or can they?

The only time any of my friends say ANYTHING about their religion is when I bring it up.

The current and recent Popes would disagree with you on points 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7.

must be nice to pick and choose your timelines for Christanity....but not Islam.......and the present Pope....... has changed his attitude immensly since gaining the papacy. He's become alot more moderate than when he was a Bishop or a Cardinal.

Are you a devout Catholic Gerry? Or just a casual one? Or are you one at all?

devout? Nope.....in fact there are Christians that would say I'm not even Christian....let alone Catholic. Personally, I couldn't give a rats ass what anyone else hinks..... my beliefs, right or wrong, are between me and JC. If I'm wrong in my beliefs and actions....then I am sure I will find out soon enough.

$1:
I believe Jews have the right to live in the land among Palestinians but I do not agree the way Israel took someone elses land and then oppressed them.

Don't hate the Israelis, man. A bunch of Zionists in the 19th century decided they wanted to go back home, but keep it for themselves. Slowly, it garnered support, but wasn't a huge swath like the Civil Rights Movement. Palestinians got fucked over not by Israelis/Jews, but by France, England and America.

You are right Gerry, we don't really talk about our religion 24/7. I have many non-Muslim friends and from occasional jokes and insults to world politics, we don't really talk about religion. When we do, we all talk about the religion that we belong to and eventually come to the conclusion that God has different ways of speaking to different people.

Wow, if your last sentence was only true of all people. It's unfortunate that non believers are referred to as "Infidels" by Muslims and "Pagans" by Christians.
