Ok sure but thats what I'm trying to say that they rebelled and now thats that.
By the way where did you read that the Devil was angry with how God was treating humans or is that some random shit you picked up from some story that was interpreted.

Um, actually, it's in the Bible.

Just so you know Satan is actaully an angel that turned bad against God and because he was so powerful he belived he could overun god but that didn't turn out to well. Now he is banned and evil!
Although i think i agree with you in your opinion! The first paragraph anyway your not very clear in the second one.

Actually, Lucifer and one third of all the angels in Heaven rebelled against God because they had a problem with how he was treating humans and angels...

Let me make it simple.

Lucifer: "Hey, um, God? What's this shit I hear about these things called "humans"?"

God: "Oh, they're my lastest invention. I made them in my image."

Lucifer: "Um, but we're also made in your image, only we get wings and super-badass powers and weapons."

God: "Your point?"

Lucifer: "Well, why are you saying that man is all perfect and shit? You also gave humanity the gift of choice and even let them remain intelligent and let them live even after they defied you. I mean, us angels don't get a choice. I cite the examples of Loki and Bartelby as two noticeable examples of your supposed strictness. So yeah, me and a third of all the angels in heaven think that it's total bullshit that us divine angels have to be subservient to you and these pathetic humans, who can't even really compare with us."

God: "STFU, GTFO"

Lucifer: "OMFG, WTF?!"

Civil War of heaven breaks out.

That's pretty much what happened...

Interesting. Biblical scholars spend their lives interpreting obscure texts in reference to this supposed myth, AM watches a coupple Christopher Walken(the Prophecy for those not familiar with Walken as the Archangel Gabriel) movies and one Jay and Silent Bob flick and has an epiphany.

ROTFL

Dude, at the beginning I specifically said that I was going to make it as simple as possible.

Normally I'd go into a lot mroe detail, but who really wants to hear that? :P

I'd also like to point out that Tricks got what I was saying BECAUSE of the Dogma reference.

Walken's (as Gabriel)diatribe against humanity was more eloquent. Somehow he's just more believable as an angel of death and destruction.

Who can truly say that God is on their side anyways.

karra karra:
My great-grandfather was in the trenches at the Battle of Mons, 1914 - they were overrun by the Germans - the first thing the Brits did was fall to their knees and pray - to God!

In 1914 allot more people per capita were religious.
My great grandfather landed on Juno beach in WWII, and while he worshiped Christ until the end of his life he still ended up being an alcoholic, cheating, wife beater.
Some would blame what he went through for that and I do not disagree, he also claimed that God was on his side for making it out of the hell of a war that he was involved in, and that may be so.
But where was God when he was commitng these wrongs against people he loved?

therookieca @ Thu Oct 16, 2008 7:27 am

Everything happens for a reason we have the right to choose and that is why he did that stuff. Where was god when all this was happening is like saying why dosen't everyone belive in God. Because he gave us choice. But God loves all so i don't think he can really pick sides [Quote/]Who can truly say that God is on their side anyways.[Quote/]

god in the bible is against free will

With so many religions in the world (not to mention variations on the same religions) I ask again, who in the world today can honestly say GOD is on their side.
Everything is way too open for interpretation, and too many atrocities have been committed in the name of God that I honestly believe if there is a God then this higher power has shunned the world.

This reminds me of an incident my wife had when she was teaching in Morris Manitoba. There were many Mennonites in the community and school.I like Mennonites and respect their beliefs, but they do have more factions than Bush's Republican Party. The wife, out of interest and curiosity and asked one girl outside of class how her branch of the Church and one that another girl attended were different. The girl responded: Not much, just they are all going to hell!
