Wait, lemme put this out there:

If we want to stop islamic suicide terrorists from flying any more planes into buildings, couldn't we just coat them in bacon grease?

IcedCap @ Mon May 07, 2007 10:54 am

Tricks Tricks:
Why?

for all the reasons we've previously explained because it is INTENDED to cause insult and upset.

You will insult them like crazy, and you have my blessing here.

But would you do that to my neighbor to? Who just lives a normal life?

Make fun ? It sounds more like these people thought to themselves," Now what is the most offensive thing I can do to these people without having to show my face like the cowards I am."
Making fun of people is meant to be offensive you twit.
$1:
If they were just expressing their opinions, why hide from them ?
For this very reason. They knew asshats like you would scream hate crime and they would go to jail.
$1:
The reason they just dropped the book and ran is more than likely beacause they knew what they were doing was illegal and lacked the courage of ther convictions.
It wasn't illegal. It was freedom of expression. And why would someone stick around when he knows little pansy asses like you are going to get him or her in shit. That's really bright. Just because they are smarter then you doesn't mean they don't lack courage. Just putting the book there took some courage.
So you've resorted to simple namecalling and insults ? Now I can see why you have sided with the cowards, you believe insults are a healthy part of making a point. Smarter than me, that's an interesting little IQ test.
I resort to name calling with annoying thickheaded people like you. Notice how I haven't done that with Blue_Nose? See I just plain don't like you.
I figured that, passing judgement on others prejudicialy seems to be one of your strong suits.

Of course it is meant to cause insult. But that doesn't make it a bloody hate crime, at least not by our definition.

Yes it is if you physically direct that insult at a place of worship. I don't know how I can make this any simpler but there is an absolute difference between expressing an opinion that a certain group may find offensive and going to a place of worship to physically insult that same group.

That is your OPINION, but not a fact. It's up to a qualified judge to determine if a law has been broken, hopefully not a liberal one.

I stand by my assertion that it was a "hateful" thing to do but it was not a hate crime. A book is legal in the US and Canada, bacon is legal in Canada and calling Allah a pedophile is legally valid because he had sex with a nine year old and under the Canadian Criminal Code and US law that would make him a pedophile in the year 2007. It is freedom of expression nothing more. Radical Muslims call for violence in mosque globally against non-Muslims, they call jews pigs and they want them eradicated from this planet. This is allowed in Canada and the US and England and France and Germany lest we offend them but a couple of strips of bacon in a Koren freaks Muslims out as well as their appeasers. I can only shake my head at the hypocrisy of those who allow the radicals a podium but want to lynch a bacon eating koran defiler who could very well be a Muslim. The left haven't one yet, Sharia Law isn't enforcable yet. Hang in there and in a couple of years the appeasers will have all of society cowering in fear lest we offend. Bye the way I find the appeasers immensely offensive. I want them charged under the Hate Law.

This entire incident could of been staged by CAIR, like the flying Imams. It reeks AGENDA, and special laws for Muslims what a better way to get the injustice done to them than staging YET another Media circus.

Bart it's great to see you.

Really who cares? I sure don't.

I may send pulled pork sandwiches to the local mosque on Friday as a friendly gesture.

That's one of the most accurate statements (on its own) made in the thread - I think, regardless of whether anyone shares the same opinion or not, that we can agree there are grounds to make each case - it's a legal matter, and is therefore subject to interpretation of the applicable laws.

I've argued the side of the Mosque, but that's because I'm trying to apply the relevent laws, not promote my agenda, as some here have. I don't necessarily agree with "hate crime" laws (I think they're too vague), and I sure as hell don't agree with anything to do with Islam, but one should try to be a little more objective when it comes to law, as emotional reactions don't typically apply.
