Do you consider this a hate crime?

For those of you who do not believe this is hate crime, I would like to hear what you believe the intent of the Qu'raan with the bacon and slurs was, if not to intimidate and harass. It seems a rather odd welcoming gift.

To make fun of their religion. Hell, do people not make fun of the Catholic and Christian religion all the time? Maybe they are saying, the fact you can't eat pork is absurd. It's freedom of expression. Get used to it.

Make fun ? It sounds more like these people thought to themselves," Now what is the most offensive thing I can do to these people without having to show my face like the cowards I am."

If they were just expressing their opinions, why hide from them ? The reason they just dropped the book and ran is more than likely beacause they knew what they were doing was illegal and lacked the courage of ther convictions.

samething i said one page 1 of this thread " Hate crime 100% and shows a lack of backbone......had to leave it on the step instead of giving it to a member of the Mosque.
Don't get me wrong i am not a big Muslim fan....but it goes to show you the confiction of the spineless pricks that did this...just intent on scareing someone with out the balls for a fight."

Is this the Army? No it isn't. I would expect more courtesy from here. Clearly I was wrong. I will remember that in the future.

So? Someone has called the muslim faith unclean. They have expressed their opinion about it, and now they may go to jail if found.

You know for people who always complain about how America is moving towards Fascism, you guys are acting awfully like it.

They didn't say it though now did they....they can say what ever they want under the guise of freedom of expression.....the point here is that they did this and descrated someones holy place.......remember last year when the young fellow pissed on the war memorial :wink:

there's a difference between expressing an opinion and deliberately commiting an act intended to demean someone, if you honestly think that buying a copy of the Qu'ran, some bacon then taking the trouble to go to a mosque and leave it on the doorstep is the same as saying "I don't like Muslims" in a conversation with friends is the same thing then you are an idiot.

They can express what ever they wish in whatever manner they wish. If this weren't true, then muslims calling for the deaths of people should be considered a hate crime. It incites violence more then this does. It shows clear hate. Why no words from these people on that little gem?
