We're supposed to live in a society where church and state are separate. And, to steal from Trudeau, the government has no business in the prayer-rooms of Canadians. I don't give a shit what any politicians' religious beliefs are. Their job is to represent OUR beliefs, not theirs. Likewise, I don't a give a shit whether the guy flying the plane I'm on believes in god, which god or how many gods, so long as he's able to get the plane off the ground and back on it again safely.
Canada isn't a plane.

Ok I'll play. So because Harper attends a church he's going to turn Canada into a religiously fundamental country. Yet one of your links also mentions Martin belonging to the Catholic Church. Did Martin shove Christian rule and law down your throat? No, so why assume someone else that attends Church will do the same simply because he's not a Liberal?

My concern is how can a guy, who may (or may not!) believe this dogma, be able to concern himself with education, abortion rights, freedom of speech, women's rights, science etc.

Well, Catholics don't have a problem with evolution. And if Martin had banned birth control in this country, according to a lot of people that would have been a good thing, since we don't breed enough and have to import people. But we'll never know, because we didn't give Martin a majority government. His diabolical plan to ban meat on Fridays died with his political hopes.

Because it's none of our business. If he wanted to share his views, fine, but he certainly shouldn't be villified for refusing to discuss private, Harper-family matters. It's also no one's business whether he eats spaghetti, takes it in ass, smokes cigarettes or listens to disco. You can be curious if you want, but that's voyeurism on your part and he has every right to tell you to fuck off and mind your own business.

Next time I open a thread that has nothing to do with Canadian pollitics and it has this kinda crap on it I'm gonna shoot my PC, then I'll lose my job, so please for the sake of myself and my family keep the pollitical commentary in the political stories.

If Harper was an alcoholic, I'd want to know. If Harper's personal beliefs could affect his decisions I'd want to know. If Harper believes the something fervently ridiculous I want to know.
