t has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are clothing for you and you are clothing for them. Allah knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allah has decreed for you. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the sunset. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allah, so do not approach them. Thus does Allah make clear His ordinances to the people that they may become righteous. (Quran 2 187)
So Allah didn't know about Alaska or Southern Chile where sun doesn't rise or set for months? Either the Muslims there can't start Ramadan fast or end up dying of starvation if they adhere to this decree.

For the same reason that most Jews don't eat cheese with a chicken or tuna salad sandwich even though their young aren't fed milk.....religious rules are silly.

I'm having a little trouble understanding what this "Mecca time" is.
As we know the sun sets in a muddy pool. It's in the Holy Qu'ran which we are told is the perfect book for all time and always perfectly clear in its meaning.

Sherif Gaber is an Egyptian blogger and activist who is well known for his views on atheism. After previous arrests and problems with the Egyptian authorities in 2013 and 2015, his whereabouts are now unknown. On May the 7th, Gaber tweeted that he is “4 days in hell. I'm free. Okay. In Egypt.” The way this tweet is written suggests that it may have been the Egyptian government taking over his twitter account.

Yesterday a Muslim terorist attacked two female police in Belgium - from behind, of course, slashing their throats and stabbing them in a frenzy of religious ecstasy while shouting Allahu Akbar. Then he took their weapons and shot them repeatedly to make sure he had done Allah's work.
