I've been dring water from the bay for 3 years and it's fresh

It has a lower salinity than other ocean water, but it certainly isn't fresh by any stretch of the imagination, no matter whose.

On the west side it is.I drank it for the summer,no salt, too many fresh water rivers flowing in,the east side closer to the sea would be salty.

ziggy @ Tue Nov 04, 2008 11:06 pm

Hwacker,I drank that water for 3 years,it's purer then any bottled water.
Were not talking the great lakes, were talking Hudsons bay that has all the arctic waters flowing into it.

I dont care what the ignorant think,I lived there and know what I was drinking.

The purest, cleanest water in the world.
The experts call it "dead water" because of the permafrost their is no algae, you can drink out of puddles on the tundra a mile from the bay and not get sick.

The ignorant? Like all the encyclopedia's of the world that claim despite it being lower in salinity it indeed is salt water? Care to revise this claim:
$1:
The world's largest fresh water supply is in hudson's bay and all point's leading into it.

ShepherdsDog @ Tue Nov 04, 2008 11:08 pm

you were drinking river water, not bay water. The volume of fresh water flowing into the bay dilutes it. But your initial song before you changed your tune was

Ziggy Ziggy:
The world's largest fresh water supply is in hudson's bay and all point's leading into it.

The bay in and of itself is saltwater, of varying levels of salinity, and therefore useless as a freshwaterwater supply. As I pointed out earlier, the rivers flowing into it would have to be dammed and huge reservoirs created. That would result in the bay increasing in salinity.

That's not Bay water, it's melt water

[huh] You were drinking water from the shore of lake chickenhead and this is your proof that Hudson's Bay is fresh water?

ShepherdsDog @ Tue Nov 04, 2008 11:15 pm

three years of drinking seawater explains so much.

ziggy @ Tue Nov 04, 2008 11:15 pm

Rankin inlet, just check that in your encyclopedia,is the water fresh or salt?

I await a few apologies from the posse.

Stop with the melodramatics already. You keep repeating wrong information and it's not our fault. This isn't a personal vendetta against poor ziggy. As a matter of fact you're the one calling us ignorant.

It's connected as all lakes are in Nunavut but your geography ignorant so bow out now unless you have something to add to the discussion.

Maybe go look at a map and them come back with a comment.
