Blow up our buildings, murder our civilians, shoot at our troops. It only makes us mad.

Good news, Prop 8 went yes.

wow, what a mess of a thread. went to sleep after my post on page 5.

looks like the 60 seat Senate wont go, but a fillibuster really is not
much of an opposition.

Interesting to see Obama move from the left during the primaries,
more to the center during the campaign.

he has 77 days, maybe we can make a right-winger out of him yet :)

I am so glad all the gay-rights and abortion is pretty much settled and behind us politically in Canada.

Interesting how the vastly liberal California went for Prop. 8. Is there more to it than I am aware of?

Yeah i know, they'll put a commie in but queers are taboo.

The question is whether or not it is a right. It certainly isn't protected under the United States Constitution as a right. Proposition 8 is on an amendment to the Californian Constitution to do something similar.

Ahnold is a Commie?

Seems odd to me to put rights to a vote.

Seems odd you know nothing about what you speak 8O

They have all the rights if they are married, they just don't get to use the word and thats a good thing because it's not a marriage.

Are civil unions permitted in California? I am afraid I do not know.

Congratulations to Barack Obama, Joe Biden and to America. Congratulations for voting for hope over fear. We can expect a little bit more peace and prosperity in the world over the next few years and it won't feel like we're living next to angry drunk anymore.

What a great country where a man who once would have been a slave is now the President. Barack showed so much poise, judgment and eloquence that I hope he'll go on to lead his country to great things.

What a great day! Thanks America.
