[huh] how does an Obama wins thread go from a complete shit show about the election result to a complete shit show of the salinity of Hudson Bay?...maybe I should start drinking salt water to understand
Guess the posse is in attack mode and arent doing their homework.
Stop with the melodramatics already. You keep repeating wrong information and it's not our fault. This isn't a personal vendetta against poor ziggy. As a matter of fact you're the one calling us ignorant.
No,your ignorant,I was there,it isnt salt water as is most of the west side of the bay,as you dont seem to even have a grasp on this subject or how big the bay is or the many lakes or rivers flowing into it I'll just file you under the people who have never left home and get all your info off the tv or the net.
Sad.
Give me your address and when I open up camp next june Ill send you some samples from the bay and you can do a salinity test on it.
Like I already said before, USA! USA! USA! USA! USA! USA!
Mhm, like I said... Did something right for once! Good on America!
Actually they do lots of things right most of the time, as those of us who regularly take notice have always realized. It just happens to be that tonight's good deed was bigger and more important than usual. Hopefully it transcends the swamp of discredited and outdated baby boomer politics and leads to something better for as many people as possible.
The big bonus in this, from a Canadian perspective, is that Stephen Harper and his Tory pigs will very quickly begin to look like a miserable anachronism.

He's toast.
Ah, we've heard this song and dance before. I wouldn't count on it.

No, the big bonus in this on a Canadian and world scale is the American people elected an African American to the presidency. Do you even have the first clue you have witnessed a world altering event. Dude try looking in the BIG box and past the tin hatting.
It's great to see history being made yet again. It's still amazing to think what's changed in the last 20 years or so when you think about it. Then end of apartheid in South Africa, the end of the Soviet Union and of the Cold War only to be replaced by the spectre of terrorism, and now this. In a country with a lamentable history of enslavement and repression of African-Americans, Obama's election is an almost negation of that past. No longer will cynicism rule the day and declare that African-Americans cna achieve the highest office in the land. Of course, as we saw in the latter stages of the campaign, racism is still an unfortunate reality in America, but Obama's victory is a blatant rejection of the fears and ignorance that fuel the incipient bigotry.
