Regardless, that's in a big city where people are more open-minded.
I can't walk down the street in my Leafs Jersey without being laughed at... I'm sure a gay couple gets atleast a few odd stares and possibly some redneck fucktard rolling down the street in a pickup truck yelling "Fuck You Fag!" every so often...
But hey, that's society. It'll change eventually.
Society isn't fully tolerant yet...

I was a target of insults because of my beliefs and my dreams in highschool. Should I have gone and cried about it? No. So why should anyone else?

I don't recall this topic being about tolerance of gays. I thought this one was about tolerance of straight firemen who didn't want to be participating in a gay pride parade

I didn't hang around with them, but there were alot of homosexuals. Wasn't a big deal. Hell we had a homosexual club at my highschool. A couple people kinda went "What?" Then forgot about it Oh and why is it always guys you are mentioning?

As for me mentioning the males more than the females, gay males are much less tolerated than the gay females.

How about a highschool then? You would think that would be the worst for it no? Never happened there either.
'Gay' is still a discriminatory remark in High school. Maybe not in Left-Wing dominated Ontario.
If you walked down the hallways holding your friends hand, I GUARANTEE atleast at my school that someone would walk up and PUNCH you in the face. Homosexuality is NOT accepted at ALL by most males in High Schooled. While Much of the Female student body is completely tolerant, seeing a non-homophobic male in high school for me has always been rare.
