And gay pride parades aren't exclusively for gays.

To participate? Oh yes, they are ;-)

$1:
The BOSS was gay lily.

Try to at least be consistent, Brenda.

The boss was gay, the firefighters weren't. Since they obviously participated in the parade, your first statement is wrong.
They were forced to because their boss was gay. If they had wanted to outside of work, would they have been able to?

Entering a float is but one way to participate, Brenda. Even if what you say is true, these firefighters are complaining that they were forced to... participate... in the parade.

Well, here, that IS the parade ;-)

So gay pride parades aren't exclusively for gays.

Read what I said again...

Minorities preaching being discriminated against when they discriminate just as much if not more. The irony.

Who the hell are we discriminating against?

Every gay parade I've ever been to, in both Canada and the US, has had people of all sexual orientations, religions, races, creeds, ages, sexes, nationalities, cultures, and all walks of life. They are truly the most diverse things I've ever seen.

The only people who are looked down upon are the people who have the option of not attending but still protest anyway.

that makes no sense what soever.because most of the people wat ching a parade arestraight makes it a parade promoting heterosexuality?

That's not what I said. Read it again.

you said there werecountless straight parades. i asked you to name them. none were named. you claimed because the majority of clebrants practised a heterosexual lifestylethe parades were a celebration of heterosexuality. doesnt wash.

Maybe you should stay in Holland and mind your own business then.

Why should I? I hear I can teach you all something here ;-)

It is kinda funny... People who I don't agree with, or don't agree with me, tell me to stay here... Maybe you should try and move to Holland

Why not?

Any reason you're claiming they can't... other than you think so?
That's why I asked ;)

That's BULLSHIT!

Well let's see here... we have a lady from Holland telling me the way things work here based on her experiences in Holland. But this is a Canadian site and we're talking about Canada and the US which I'm sure she has no real experience in. So she tells me I crawled out from under a rock because my experiences in Canada don't match her experiences in Holland. Well of course they don't.

You make it seem like the world revolved around straight people and we are all out to get you. That we are out to make you're life hell. That's discrimination my friend.

Here two gay men can't walk down the street hand-in-hand without somebody rolling down their car window and yelling "fag!" I would avoid doing that for my own personal safety.

ROTFL ROTFL

HELP!!!! I am discriminated against!!!! I can't discuss this topic, because I am not a native!!!!!

Sweety, every newbie who didn't agree with me sang this song. You might as well want to stop it. Second, you quoted Tricks, and talk about me. There's something wrong with that picture. Third, I haven't seen a lot of people who disagree with me, but you, and Lily, but she always plays the Devil's Advocate...

LOL, you're full of it. I already said some are out to get us, not all, but don't concern yourself with what I actually said or anything.

I'm talking about *some* homophobic gay-bashing people. You deny some straights aren't like that? Most aren't, and it's becoming less and less common, but all it takes is 1 in a 100 to make a gay's life miserable.

Yeah, I'm intolerant of the hateful. But to put me in the same boat as them is nothing short of stupid. That's like calling black people intolerant because they don't like the KKK who burns crosses in their front yard.

Are you kidding me? It happens all the time. That's why I don't do it anymore except maybe when I'm in a gay area downtown. But in the burbs, or rural areas? Forget it.

You think because you're a heterosexual girl that you know what it's like to walk in my shoes? How incredibly ignorant of you. I've been called every name in the book, spat on, heckled, punched in the jaw, threatened, you name it.

I'm not trying to get sympathy here, because I'm not, but I'm just saying for the point of debate.

You generalized conservative America. You only clarified once you were called out on it. You were generalizing, deal with it.

No I don't deny it. But it is not very common any more. There are a few, but then I would say get some thicker skin, and deal with it. Everyone gets made fun of for one reason or another. So don't act like you are some charity case that needs special attention. You're not. No gays are. No one is.

Ok first off talk shit like that to Brenda again you won't be on this board again if i can do anything about it. I hate when people play the your not a Canadian card, it's a bullshit excuse for not having anything to say. Second it seems to me here your the one that is not yet comfortable with being gay, it's not us with the issue.
